If ever there was a piece of shit who needs to be out on the street with a tin cup, it’s Mike Tyson. Rapist and thug extrordinaire, this violent lout now needs to be served up a piping hot lesson in how society deals with those who flout its laws.
He is faced with another year in jail if convicted upon pending assault charges. Somehow, it’s almost fitting that this moron was quite possibly ripped off by Don King. Who better to dish it up cold than one of the most parasitic entities the sports world has ever seen? The only thing that could match this easily anticipated spectacle would be to see King behind bars as well. King’s well known pattern of robbing his stable of talent blind is so consistent that I’m amazed he hasn’t been brought down yet. Even more surprising is that one of his dissatisfied pugilist clients hasn’t thrashed the living shit out of him before now.
Tyson and King are but two legs of a grand triumvirate formed in fellowship with Al Sharpton that manages to set back the reputation of African Americans on regular basis. The damage these individuals do to their respective communities goes beyond the realm of amazing and into depths of repugnancy that defy imagination.
For now, we’ll have to be content with a “serial buttocks fondler” and all around thug finally facing up to exactly how moronic his actions have been. To reach the end of a $300 million dollar career penniless and confronted with yet another stint of jail time should be a stark reminder of just how stupid this world class jerk has been. He has defiled women, his reputation and the sport of boxing with equal abandon. I find it impossible to summon one iota of sympathy for this cretin.
Plus, he was way to hard to beat in “Mike Tyson’s Punch Out” for the original Nintendo. One punch would knock you down for a huge chunk of the fight. That always pissed me off and I never got over it! Fuck him!
I found this statement a little troubling. Exactly how many ‘Negroes behaving badly’ do we need to set back the reputation of African Americans? Is it a percentage? A fixed number? What?
And how many ‘crazy white people’ do white folks get before their ‘reputation’ gets damaged?
Sorry for the hijack…I’m no fan of Mike Tyson, but the concept that bad behavior by an individual, especially one like this, can damage the credibility of the racial group that he belongs is, well, ludicrous.
Plenty of “crazy white people” damage the reputation of white folks on a regular basis. George Wallace and Strom Thurmond did sterling jobs for a very long time. Hitler was one of the all-time winners in this category. Lately, Shrub has been hogging the limelight with his idiotic pronouncements about gay marriage.
Bigots and racists love to seize upon whatever recognizable opposition icons present themselves. Tyson, King and Sharpton have managed to get a lot of publicity doing really stupid things. I do not see how this can help African Americans.
Are you going to tell me that Al Sharpton’s involvement in the Tawana Brawley case helped to advance racial understanding in the United States?
You people have it all wrong; he spent his fortune looking for the real rapist and will reveal all to the National Enquirer in the September special edition, right after the most recent “Bat Boy” sighting.
There’s a certain sub-classifcation of sports fans who feel Mike Tyson’s pain no matter what happens. I heard a lot of indignation from a couple of guys at the 7-11 this morning, both of whom agreed that Tyson was “manipulated” and “ripped-off” by his business managers and they both hoped that he’d recover his fortune and his boxing career.
Eh? I could understand being a Tyson fan in his early career, where he managed to keep the displays of social retardation and utter lack of any and all sense to a minimum and he actually won a lot of fights.
Now he’s washed up, and manages to commit fresh new outrages and utter the most animalistic one-liners on such a regular basis that one wonders if he could have a future as “slice-of-life” speaker on the mental institution circuit. It seems that ANY kind of behavior or belief that is mentally deficient, amoral, and barbaric could be attributed to Tyson, and God only knows what’s in the heads of the people who admire him.
He deserves to be bankrupt and publically humilated. Deserves everything he gets, actually.
Does this mean that we can expect to see him sometime soon on the motivational speaker tour, basking in forgiveness and encouraging others to mend their ways as he will claim to have done?
Bound to happen sooner or later. What really gets me about Mike Tyson is his obvious mental state. IANAD, but from everything I’ve read or seen about him, he is not normal. And I don’t mean just eccentric in that quirky “acceptable” way of people with too much money and not enough social skills. He’s repeatedly proven himself to be extremely violent and incapable of controlling his impulses, and I will bet you anything that if he were not some world-class boxing star, he’d be on the locked ward of a state hospital somewhere drooling copiously and terrifying young interns.
Instead, he’s raping women, biting off people’s ears, and buying Bengal tigers. [Note to MmmDonut: Is this sort of thing admirable behavior on your home planet? Or are you just an idiot?]
As for Zenster’s “setting back African-Americans” argument, I don’t really see how this is relevant at all, and it speaks of a very condescending attitude, your point about “crazy white people” notwithstanding. I don’t look at Mike Tyson and think “Oh, those poor black folks! Another fucked-up black guy!”, and I’ve never thought of Hitler as any reflection on white people, Germans, or people who wear tiny moustaches. They’re just examples of fucked-up humans. Humans. Period.
But really, however bad Mike Tyson is, I almost had to laugh when you pulled out the tired old Hitler card. Can anyone actually equate the two with a straight face?
My 15 minutes of fame involving Mike Tyson…I can’t remember whether I’ve told this story here before, so what the heck.
Once upon a time, when I worked for immigration court, I had the unique privilege of taking business trips to State and Federal Prisons of the Midwest to interpret in deportation hearings. A couple of times, I went to the Indiana Youth Center, where Mikey served his rape sentence.
One morning, the judge and I were signing in at the front desk before going through the metal detectors, and in my caffeine-deprived haze, I noticed a guy at the pay phone in the lobby (this was before everyone and his brother had a cell phone) with really goofy hair. “Hmmm, looks a bit like Don King,” I thought to myself. “And then, “Hey, wait a minute, that IS Don King!”
Off we went to conduct hearings, in a little office across the hall from the visiting lounge. One hearing was conducted in English, so they didn’t need me, so I sat in the hallway for a couple of hours and bullshitted with the guards. They told me Mikey stories. Namely, that he had flunked his GED (quite believable), but instead of resigning himself to do better next time, he decided there was a conspiracy in the prison administration, and they’d given him a different test than everyone else. Oh, and how he could have been paroled on several occasions, but refused to admit that he’d done anything wrong.
Yeah, I’d say the guy has a bit of a problem accepting responsibility for his actions.
