Here is the current Article of Impeachment proposed by Brad Sherman (CA) and co-sponsored by Al Green (TX) - let’s see who adds their names to it:
I’ve visited bars in Vegas where I witnessed swearing. Gambling, too. Some of them literally have girls in skimpy outfits dancing on tables. So I’m not* too* surprised. But successfully impeaching the motherfucker seems like an idle boast at this point, the Senate still being mostly full of co-conspirators. It would be smarter to wait to broadcast this intention until the Dems can demonstrate that Trump really is a Russian asset and ten other kinds of criminal, then dare the GOP to continue to stand up for him.
No, it’s not happening right now, but that’s not why it’s being brought up. It’s enough, and proper, at this point simply to get impeachment into the national discussion, to get it to seem realistic and reasonable and even necessary if the Mueller report supports it.
No, that would be you.
I acknowledge that Mr Smashy didn’t start the hijack, but he sure as shit jumped on board and took the helm.
The State of the Union address is coming up - we have a front runner for the Democratic response.
Regards,
Shodan
Please look at the Rio Grande regions of Texas and try to understand why building a wall between the riverfront and the rest of the state is offensive.
If that is the goal, it may have been a wily move to frame it with f-bombs. We aren’t going to just sit conservatives down and carefully reason with them. No, the only sure thing is to appeal to their baser instincts. In this case, the opportunity to point and laugh at the foul-mouthed Muslim congresswoman is a sort of candy coating. Meanwhile, they internalize the impeachment narrative. Brilliant!
Can decent people still call people convicted of crimes criminals?
Convicted… interesting word, that. Has a real specific meaning too. So yeah go ahead and call people convicted of crimes criminals.
I’m not sure what word we will use to describe the little kids we put in cages, but fuck them anyway, I suppose, since their parents might get convicted of a crime some time in the future, and we’ll get to call THEM criminals.

We’re not critical of Trump because of his “brash public discourse style”. We’re critical of Trump because he commits crimes, takes bribes, and is incompetent.
It’s not automatically xenophobia. But it is stupid.
Despite what Trump says, we’ve been protecting our border just fine without his wall. The wall is a dumb idea that we don’t need. And we shouldn’t be wasting five billion dollars on something we don’t need.
Well, maybe. Maybe an artificial cure for an artificial disease may relax some of the cramped spasms some of our fellow citizens are suffering. But five billion? If we pay another $19.95 can we get two walls, are operators standing by?
Its not like private property is a big hairy ass deal in Texas. Or anything. And Big Gummint coming in and doing stuff, shit, that’s as popular as pecan pie, down there. So, yeah, those patriotic Texans be thrilled to give up their land, cheap!
A picture of Ron Swanson with “What’s wrong isn’t calling the President a motherfucker, what’s wrong is calling that motherfucker President.” Reddit, natch.
I agree with her 100%, although using such language in a public setting was strategically unwise.
AFAIK, Ms. Tlaib has not been charged with a felony. Perhaps OP will comment on these recent Congressmen, all felons:
Steve Stockman (D-TX) convicted of fraud
Dennis Hastert (D-IL) convicted of charges related to sexual misconduct
Michael Grimm (D-NY) convicted of felony tax evasion
Trey Radel (D-FL) convicted of possession of cocaine
Rick Renzi (D-AZ) convicted of wire fraud, conspiracy, extortion, racketeering, money laundering, etc.
Chris Collins (D-NY) indicted for insider trading
All these Congresscritters? are from the same party. I’m following FoxNews convention: “D” = the granD olD party but one of our gooD olD boys DiD something wrong."
Since both of those departments of govenment are part of the shut-down I doubt they’re reporting anything at the moment.
Please tell me how sending most of the border patrol, TSA, etc. home and making the rest work without pay makes us safer? Seems to me that would have the opposite effect.
It just shows that Trump and the Republicans don’t actually give a fuck about border security or preventing terrorism. If they did, they would have insisted on keeping those agencies open, working, and paid.
They’re still working, just not getting paid. Though there have been reports that an unusual number of TSA screeners are calling in sick; can’t remember if it was the Administration or Ronna [del]Romney[/del] McDaniel who called those reports “fake news.”
LOL @ Memento brains.
This seems a very myopic analysis.
It means believing that a certain kind of rhetoric will not enable boosting in the polls for support among the wavering or reinforcing the wagons circled, and that the polling has not any effect on position.
Since you like to quote polls quite often you are doing so either only for the rhetorical effect, or in fact you believe they do have some effect.
It does not seem likely that the words used by Tlaib are helpful - the agitated Left already is saying this, normally in the Parliamentary games it is better to like Madame Pelosi to play the more “balanced and sage” image to attract the wavering middle and even some of the other side.
dīvide et imperā. Not unify the opposition.
It is about being clever not being self-satisfying.
Many of the Left posters here want the public rhetoric that self satisfies. That does not seem from here to be the smart move, it is the emotionally self satisfying move but it is not the smart move.
Madame Pelosi seems very clever and smart in her play. Rachida, not very clever.
