I just became a huge fan of the brand last year. And perfect time as I tried their Minerals Sage body wash. Which was the first time I tried a body wash of them since 2012. Last year I explored more of their items and man I love the brand now more than ever. Their Clean Comofort, Deep Clean and Extra Fresh scents are amazing. I also used the Fresh Awake once, which was also my first one and I vaguely remember the scent smelling a bit citrus-like.
As for their shampoos, some of the most seriously-engineered men’s shampoos in the market.
I only tried one deodorant[well 2 technically]
Extra Fresh in both dry spray and antiperspirant
Overall: 8.5/10. Will give the brand maybe a 10 as it grows and explore more of the line.
I tried the shampoo when I first came back to the US. Didn’t like it. Made my hair too dry. Finally settled back on Paul Mitchell, which is what I used when I lived here before, all those years ago.
I’m a big fan of the Nivea For Men range, particularly their Post Shave Balm which seems to do a better job of preventing ingrowns than other similar products. Their shaving foam and gel are pretty good too.
I still haven’t found a shampoo I’m entirely happy with, and at this rate by the time I do I won’t have any hair left to wash.
Dove bar soaps I like and use but their other products just never worked well for me; especially the shampoo. I have some dandruff issues even with most of my hair gone and T-gel is my main brand.
I like their ‘deep clean’ bar soap because it’s got the granules in it. If somebody would make a bar of soap so grainy that using it is equivalent of washing with a handful of gravel, I’d probably buy it. I couldn’t care less about the various scents.
I like their soap. I used Irish spring for years but eventually started to get irritation from it, so I tried using some of the more dermatologically sophistimacated soaps, and settled on +Men.
I gotta say, I’m pretty fond of most of the Dove Men’s products I’ve tried. I used Dr. Bronner’s for years, but I decided to shake things up and try some new products and Dove’s bar soap and 2-in-1 shampoo work really well for me and have pretty decent scents. The sage bar soap in particular is possibly my favorite soap I’ve ever found. I’m also using their hair pomade currently, and I’m not quite as in love. It works okay, but doesn’t have as much hold as others I’ve tried.
