Rate the Zeldas

Well in the UK the collectors disc came with Mario Kart if you bought the MK Gamecube bundle. Good fun

Been so long since I played the original games, may just hit EBay for nostalgia’s sake

Yes, but a good Link player in a team game is one of my favorite partners. Strong, fast moves coupled with the boomerang. He just needs a quick player (Pikachu, Capt. Falcon) to get opponents from ledge-guarding.

Ocarina of Time was by far my favorite Zelda game. I remember hunting those god-damned poes on Epona for the last jar. So so so so so hard.

Orginal: Still one of the best.

Adventure of Link: I kinda liked it. I don’t understand why people on here are saying it was hard I never had a problem getting through it.

Link to the Past: Gaming goodness. This game inspired me to spend a whole day doing nothing but playing it so I could get the ZERO saves used. To make me really pathetic I went back through and had my slots go 2…1…0

Ocarnia of Time: after this one I stopped playing. I couldn’t stand the 3D veiw. This will sound pathetic but I was beaten by a ledge about 1/2 way through the game. It was a small ledge with a right turn (it wasn’t even over a pit) but no matter how I tried I couldn’t keep from falling off of it. Over and over. After about 30 mins being unable to finish whatever dungeon it was I gave up.

I’ve played the original Zelda and Adventure of Link all the way through, have played Link to the Past up to the final dungeon, and have played Ocarina of Time up to about halfway through the game.

Adventure of Link was far away my favorite: it had the coolest mood of any of them, and the new abilities you gained were tremendous fun. I actually didn’t like Link to the Past very much–it just seemed bland to me.

Thanks guys, I’ll look around for one this weekend.

Now all we need is a thread explaining the plot so far! (hey, it’s hard to keep track  )

Orcarina of Time is the best video game ever made. Period. The graphics are laughable, but they’re not really important. What’s important is story, gameplay, immersion in the game, and fun. OoT has perfect marks in all of these. And I loooooove the Song of Time (it’s my cell phone’s ringtone!) I just can’t say enough good things about this game.

Majora’s Mask: I love the concept of repeating time, and the side quests (the people move around, and certian things can only happen at a certian time. This makes it much more realistic than most games). The dungeons themselves are also very nice. My main problem is that it’s too short. 4 dungeons just isn’t enough.

Link to the Past is a very good game. Not quite as good as OoT, but still very good nontheless. It’s the second greatest SNES game of all time (the first being Super Metroid).

I’m quite pissed at The Legend of Zelda right now. I’m stuck on level 6, and I keep dying. I either die in the dungeon itself, or I die when I go into the overworld to get more hearts after I respawn at the begining of the dungeon with 3 hearts filled.

I’ve never played Zelda 2. I’m waiting until I beat the first one (!@#$% level 6!!)

I didn’t like Link’s awakening. It seemed a little too cartoony, and the controls are horrible (although I realize that there’s not much you can do with just 4 buttons)
