Rate your looks on a scale of 1 to 10.

180? That’s quick, it was at 160 when I counted. What you say is utterly convincing but I just took the 5.5 to mean that people here appear to answer the poll quite honestly (that is in line with with reality had attractiveness been somewhat more objective).

I never know how to answer because I can’t tell what pool you’re comparing me to. I’m much hotter than most men, but probably not men my age and weight. My youth, muscle, weight, race, hair/dress style, and lack of any disfigurements puts me at at least an 8 on the “whole population” scale but not that high on the “healthy men my age” scale. There, I’m a 5-6.

When I was 25 or so, I was somewhere between 8.5 and 9 - and I took good photos and had an amazing body - now at 40, with a little extra around my middle and a bit more tired eyes, I’d say I am between 6.5 and 7. I still am good looking, but now it is just good looking for my age. Despite that, where ever I go I will get men who want to carry things for me, help me put things in to the car, and I rarely have to ask for help, because I will have at least one man offering to help me. I still rarely have to buy my own drinks when going out with lady friends, and I still get hoots & hollers when in a skirt from the construction sites. The only difference is that the men are a bit older now than they used to be. That being said, cougar runs in the family. My mom’s husband is 15 years younger than her, and my grandma’s husband is 25 years younger. Both kept their looks amazingly well, and it seems so am I.

Sorry, it was 160. 82/160 had ranked themselves 5 or below.

Oh, I should also mention that how I look is very in right now. Lots of ads for Jcrew, American Eagle, Abercrombie, etc feature half-and-half young adults - half Asian, half black, half Indian, half hispanic, full blooded Italian/Greek, etc. That well-tanned look is very in and I fit the bill. People who look like this often catch the eye of more men (and women alike).

What is “in” comes and goes.

I’m fluffy and fabu, but I rated myself a 6 because not everyone is in to that.

I’m very cute to the right person and that’s all that matters to me. And he does NOT look like his dad - no matter what he says.

Right now, I’d rate myself a 4. I really need to lose quite a bit of weight, and I’m not happy with myself at this point in time. If I lost weight, got a haircut I liked, and was dressed the way I want to be, I’d say somewhere between a 5 and a 6. Not going to win any awards (which is absolutely fine with me–I actually like being average-looking) but won’t break mirrors. And no, I’m not in the gallery. I’m one of those people who doesn’t photograph well, so I hate having my picture taken.

I’m probably a 5 or a 6. I used to be an 8 or 9 when I was younger. Now that I’m older and have kids, I’m tired, mildly overweight and only just now starting to put a little more effort into my appearance. I sound better on paper than I actually look, but I’m comfortable in my own skin (and feeling more attractive now than I used to) and my husband seems to think I’m hot. I have no idea how I managed to fool him. I just hope he doesn’t wake up one day and realize that a lot of areas of my body have succumbed to gravity.

Total hijack - overly - I know your kids are pretty young right now, but you should think about getting them into commercials/modeling when they’re a little older. I know a few mixed kids who have quite a lot of dough socked away for college from the odd commercial spot. They’re not in Hollywood or anything crazy, nor does it take away from school, just some local commercials in the summer that’s netted them a few thousand dollars over the years.

Thank you.

Wrong. The whole is better than the sum of the parts. Unless you photoshopped your portrait.

What he said.

How long did it take the team of surgeons to remove the brush from her rectum?

OK, I’ve decided to let the dope decide. Photo here.

This. I said 6 as well.

I adjusted for age. At 57, there’s no way I’m going to rate myself on a scale that includes 25 year olds.

I gave myself a 6. I’m decent-looking but hardly a hot property, but have put on less weight than most guys my age, and continue to look several years younger than my age.

Hmmm…allowing a bit of windage for my age of 67…about a 5

I gave myself an 8. But I’ve got a horrible personality.

I’ve got a nice body, but a bit of an odd face. Compared to the general population, I’d say I’m a 7.

But compared to the rest of you guys in the gallery, I’m a 9.5.

duck and run

I’m could be a seven until I open my mouth, then I’m a six. It’s not what I say, it’s my teeth. I just tested a bunch of photos on OKCupid’s My Best Face, and every picture where I’m smiling or have my mouth open tests significantly worse than the ones with my mouth closed. I just tested three photos from the same set as the one that’s in the portrait gallery, including that one. With the same background, clothes, and pose, the one with me smiling tested very low. The winner was the one in the gallery by a large margin.
