I might just have noticed for the first time that we’ve got an astorian and an asterion.
I have been here a long while, but my posting habits are erratic to say the least. I estimated perhaps 3-10 people may recognize my handle and put a few posts of mine together with it.
Based on my research 78% of Dopers have no idea I exist. Of the remainder 11% know me from gently informing me whatever I posted in GQ was incorrect, 5% think I left the Board years ago and my name only appears in zombie threads, and 5% think I’m Featherlou.
Unlikely. Even featherlou doesn’t think she’s featherlou.
I’d be surprised if anybody knew me.
I think at least 10 or more people know who I am or recognize my name.
I’m an unknown and I’m totally OK with that.

With my big brain and probing questions many say I am indeed full of it, so they must know me, and I just came on last month. But I am here to fight ignorance and there is a bunch of work to do here.

I remember you too, and more than one thread where your name was discussed. I really like the rhythm and image of it; it’s one of my favorite names here.
You’re another one who usually comes up in the “favorite Dopername” threads. I’m afraid I couldn’t remember much about you or your story if someone asked, but if I ran into you in a dark thread I wouldn’t run away.
Your name sticks out, which helps get my rusty gears spinning, and although I don’t venture in the BBQ Pit or Great Debates too often, I’ve found I’m usually on the same “team” as you, so I remember you.

Tamerlane, StGermain, Tripler are all posters that I’ve grown to ‘know’ through reading their posts over the years.
As for me, probably a half dozen, if that. I read far more than I post, and I don’t often post much of value. There’s a few subjects that if there’s a thread on it you can probably expect to see me posting in with a fairly decent (IMHO) degree of knowledge, but outside of that I’m mostly inane drivel.
A lot of people know me. That hardly makes me popular.

I’m shy and I try to post under the radar mostly. But I would think a few people would recognize me from the MMP from a while ago. And I have a couple nice friends. So perhaps a few people might recognize my name.
