I’ve listened to it about a dozen times now, and for me the standout track at this point is “Pick Up a Gun”.
I felt empathy for Cubsfan today when listening to Jenny Lewis’s new album. I liked her alt-country crooner stylings on previous albums, and this one had too much of a pop sound, especially in the first few tracks. It almost reminded me of when Liz Phair tried to become a top 40 pop star after several legitimate critically acclaimed indie albums. Although this case was not that blatant.
She opened for Ray when I saw him. It was like one long song. She has a good voice and I could appreciate it but she bored me to tears.
Whoa, that is kind of a wild coincidence.
So what do we think of Ouroboros? I’m diggin’ it.
