If you mean deciding for myself whether a mod action is justified, it’s just something I do. I’ve written about this before.
A proposed policy on the reasons for banning members
[A]s a relatively new member and a skeptical person in general, I would like to know why one of the people I debate with suddenly disappears […] If he committed some sort of offense, I should hope to learn why so as to avoid the same fate; if he committed no offense, I should raise my own voice on his behalf and possibly leave the board if I fail; if he committed a silent offense such as socking , as was actually the case, I should hope to learn the same to quell my own conscience. Being a new member, and perhaps due to my own personality, I simply do not trust the administration to be fair without some form of public oversight as to its actions.
But in this case you’ve provided me with all the justification I needed, in post #23 .

If so, I’ve become accustom to long-time posters getting a more detailed write up. I might read about previous suspensions, previous warnings, a hint that an olive branch via PM was turned down, etcetera, demonstrating the pattern that you relied upon in making your judgement.
Trolling is potentially an instaban offense, and doesn’t require further documentation. However, SlackerInc had eight previous warnings, including for trolling, being a jerk, insults, and failure to follow a moderator’s instructions. He actually should have been suspended last year, when he had four warnings within only a few months.
Some months ago I did have an extended exchange with him by PM, discussing some of his behavioral problems. He was completely unrepentant and gave no indication he would change his behavior.
Boy would I love to read that

Just read his responses in his Pit thread. That will give you a pretty good sense. Over and over explaining how smart he is, without the slightest sense or acknowledgement that he might want to change his behavior.
