Applied for more jobs, applied to more temp agencies, tired of the whole thing. sigh
**ShinyCat **- what kind of job are you looking for? If you mentioned it before, I forgot. Sucks to get old, you know…
I hear ya ShinyCat!
Chicken nachos were good. However, I shall not buy an off brand of tortilla chips again. They were ok but not as good as the good kind. Lesson learnt!
Too hot to think right now, 102.7 on my digital at the front door.

Heard back from Faraway Best Friend; her son was released this afternoon, still isn’t 100%, and went to bed early. Don’t know if they’re waiting for test results or if they determined that it was just something he needed to work through. Thanks again for keeping them in your thoughts.
Tired, but should go out and do something, at least for a little while.
It’s not terribly hot today. Yay!
Off to find food and do something in the garden.
Hugs.

Yay for FABF’s soon gettin’ sprung from the hospital gt! Please let us know how he’s doin’. Continued good thoughts and prayers headed out.
I think Soapy, Rebo, and possibly StickyBuns are completely unappreciative of my wit and humor on facebook. Some people just do not appreciate my urbane, sophisticated and all around couth sense of humor.
Awwwww, swampy. What’s the matter? Lost yer ladder or something?

We’re gonna see Weird Al next week! My nephew is going to completely freak out. (He LOVES Weird Al’s videos and knows bunches of them by heart.) Should be fun.
And with that…I’m going off to sleepy-bye.
It’s almost Firday!

On the way back from taijitsu tonight I got suddenly very nauseous. I think I skipped my Paxil two days in a row. I’m feeling a little better now that I’ve had dinner.
Didn’t want to go to taijitsu anyhow. Both parentals were tired, but I couldn’t convince my mom to let us stay home.
Anyhow, sitting at the computer, sipping a bit of raspberry cider. Yum.
The MMP wasn’t dead, it was just pinin’ for the fjords! It was 101 today, 84 now. More work tomorrow, then the NHL Draft party(with free food!)
Yay for Weird Al, gt!
Kopek- our roller coaster friend said she bumped into you! Fun!
Ok- what did you talk about. Spill.

Damn, I’m having an exciting week!
Mrs B and I were heading out to the local Home Despot to pick out some new light fixtures for her mother’s house. We were waiting at a red light, and couldn’t go immediately when the light turned green as a couple of bozos on the cross street were running the red to make left turns. When they cleared the way, the car beside us zoomed into the intersection and was promptly smucked by a big truck. If we hadn’t been a couple of seconds slower off the mark it would have hit both of us.
No injuries to the drivers or the two passengers in the car, although the young woman sitting in the rear seat of the car just ahead of where the truck hit was pretty shaken up. The car isn’t going to be going anywhere other than the scrap heap, though.
We weren’t needed as witnesses, so didn’t stick around to hear the truck driver’s explanation to the police. I wasn’t driving, but Mrs B said he wasn’t going fast and had plenty of room to stop when she first checked traffic in his direction, so he probably was on his phone or otherwise distracted.
I always miss so much on Thursdays. Forgive me for not reading the last page and a half.
So this afternoon around 3pm, I looked out side at the raging weather and could have sworn I saw Margaret Hamilton flying by on a bicycle. . .
(and the building shook again, but this time we knew why)

I knew Smuckers made jams out of fruit, but now I know that they have a hand in traffic jams as well.
Peñíscola, it’s one of those cases where the little hat makes a big difference (although it’s not as big in Spanish itself). Derived from “peña” (rock), it means Little Rock. And no, you can’t move it to Arkansas! Pena, on the other hand, would mean pity, misery, sadness.
I saw a very strange accident on the highway the other day, but never found out what happened. Two cars totalled and then some, both frontally, one of them had ended up against the metallic fence on the side and the other one was sideways in the middle lane. It looked like a tire had exploded in one of them, the driver lost control and hit the other one. Neither driver looked seriously hurt, they were both outside their cars with one catching his breath while the other one called on his cellphone. Neither one was wearing his shiny vest (tch!) or setting up triangles (tchtch!), both of which are required by law but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody do it properly before the cops arrive; at most, they plant a triangle five yards behind the damaged vehicle, which is about as helpful as a second head on a poodle. By the time I thought of stopping and using my own triangles (since I didn’t have to be anywhere), I’d already passed them.
I now have internet at home. Happy happy joy joy!
Up, restoration work done. Now I have to get dressed 'cuz I’m all nekkid, then head to irk.
Morning all! Well, it’s morning but only just. I am slightly concerned about VBob’s nekkid posting, my biggest worry is the possibility that he might decide to fry bacon next and you know where that could lead.
We’re having an open day for prospective students so campus is crawling with the little spotty darlings and their simpering parents. I have to venture out at lunchtime and am not looking forward to it. Must take a very sharp stick with me.
In other news, 'im indoors will be home tonight for the weekend so I will be collecting him from the station at 10.15pm after I’ve cleaned the house up and been shopping. See my dedication there? Tomorrow I’m off to a cat show with a friend and then we’re going shopping for hats for the wedding we’re going to in August.
On the subject of bizarre accidents, yesterday I witnessed a very lucky near-miss. I was on the bus going home, standing near the doors as it was almost at my stop. At the bottom of my street is a crossroads controlled by traffic lights. The traffic coming down my street had just stopped for a red light and ours was already green for us to go. Just as the bus started pulling away from the lights to go across the intersection, a car came straight across in front of us (and the traffic coming from opposite us). Luckily nothing was moving particularly fast and both sets of oncoming traffic managed to stop and let the idiot through.
The Asian bus driver looked at me and said “well, he didn’t learn to drive in this country, did he?”
