Why do I love the MMP? It’s silly and innane, filled with nothing more than birthday wishes and boring life updates. Right?

Well, it’s that and more. Including also the fact that it is one of the most updated threads no matter what the hour. This is key for a night owl such as myself who constantly clicks on “New Posts” all night while I’m trying to kill time at work. I know this thread is busiest in the morning and through the early afternoon, but I really enjoy the updates from those posting in the late late hours. Whether it’s someone posting in the PM on the west coast (Seattle or Alaska) or early in the early AM in Europe (UK or Spain), those are usually the posts I read and reply to. Heck, most of the MMP OP’s are written and posted when most people on the East coast are sound asleep. It’s a creature of the night in habit.

This got me to thinking, boy, we sure do have people from all over who post here. Wouldn’t it be nice to get a head count and figure out where everyone is. I know most of us have a general understanding of where everyone lives, whether it’s listed under our location or not, but I wanted to make a real list.

I give you The MMP People Finder!

Here’s the rules. I’m not going to pull any locations from people who don’t volunteer their location, whether it’s listed already or not.

Just simply say where you want me to stick you. For example, I technically don’t live in Boston, but I list it in my location because it’s more easily recognizable (if you look in the People Finder it shows where I really live). You don’t even have to tell me where you really live, I don’t care. Joke locations are silly on the board, so they can be silly in the People Finder too. Tell me you live in Lake Titicaca if you wish, I’ll toss your ass in the lake and watch you swim. I don’t care.

Also, just make it clear where you live. Your GPS coordinates? Latitude and longistude? Do I look like a navigator?! Just tell me. And don’t make me work too hard. If you tell me you live at the camp in Eat My Shorts, I won’t have any idea where you go.

I’ll try to update as much as possible as I go along, but next Tuesday I’ll print this thread out completely and just make sure I got everyone. Then I’ll just post a link of the finished version in the next MMP (not stealing the OP).

How fun! As my profile says, I live in Seattle WA. My neighborhood is Matthews Beach, if you want to be that specific.

We are going on an adventure(?) tomorrow. We’re driving to Sequim, (about 100 miles) picking up the in-laws new handicapped van, driving it and our car back to Seattle to have something else installed. Then we will drive just the van back to Sequim to drop off the van and bring their other car here to sell. That’s about 500 miles between us. in 2 days and we start and end at home.
I’ll bring snacks.

Morning all, and a belated hippy buffday to Tagfree.

Nothing much to report today, lazy night yesterday watching Desperate Housewives and a couple of episodes of Prison Break. Just didn’t want to get up this morning and come to work but I did so I can feel like a martyr all day. The good news is that my coughing colleague is back today so at least she can have some of her own urgent jobs back.

They’re a feckin’ nuisance! [rant] The footie ground is about 10mins walk from where I live so we have the usual match-day parking fiasco in our area and the swarms of fans going to and from the ground who seem totally oblivious to the traffic as they cross the main road wherever and whenever it pleases them. Traffic lights obviously don’t apply to them. [/end rant]

Aside from that, they’re generally a pretty crap team!

If you want to be more specific, I live within 10 minutes walk of Tel-Aviv University (which is in the Ramat-Aviv quarter, in the Northern part of the city)

I’m from and currently sleep in Navarra, Spain. See in the map where it says “España”? I’m sort of midway between the ñ and the W end of the border with France.

2 weeks ago the leads I’d had for projects had all dried up. As of right now, I’ve got 6 cookin’, and given that next Firday is Febrooary Primus, I should know by Humpday at the latest where I’m going to sleep the next few months. Or not so few :slight_smile:

Gotta do my online class duties this morn and redo my morning work schedule so I can start observing ESL classes week after next.

Dried cranberries are an acceptable raisin substitute in oatmeal. I’m thoroughly sick of raisins.

We watched a movie called A Perfect World last night. It was very good - Costner plays a likeable escaped convict who takes a boy hostage. Check it out!

I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I feel all blah and have no energy. I’m still sniffly and snotty and coughing - but not technically sick. Blergh.

I’m at work though, and about to commence to actually do some work…as soon as I surf a bit.

Monday? Is it Monday already?

I was going to run out early this morning and take care of a few things, but it’s only 25 and I decided to wait until it warms up a bit. “Here”, btw, is currently Chapel Hill NC. I’m going to start house-hunting soon, which should be interesting since one of my requirements is access to public transit because I don’t drive. This does limit my options somewhat; I have considered taking lessons and getting a driver’s license, but the last time I tried to drive was a disaster, and somehow I don’t think things will be any different now.
