Real classy, they left him to die. Snowmobile mentality.

Good luck to ya NurseCarmen. I’d certainly want you on my side of things.

Minnesota has no “good Samaritan” law?

I’d really thnk about finding the meanest lawyer I could, moving to dismiss a frivolous suit, then counter-suing for pain and anguish for bringing the event back to memory.

Upon reading my original post, I must apologize to Doc Nickel. I was reeling from a fairly nasty experience, but upon further reflection, I painted a large amount of people with a wide brush. That was wrong.

YOU’RE getting sued?

Isn’t this fairly common? I thought that EMT and ER staff at certain levels had to behave as though there was hope - both as a just in case and a legal issue? Perhaps it depends on the state or even hospital system.

On a slightly lighter note:

This is why I hate black olives. I have never dared say so before, for fear of sounding like a nut.

I grew up in the Voyageurs Nat’l Park and snowmobiling was a way of life. The weekend family trail rides were always looked forward to. Sometimes a couple of families would group up and it was quite an event. The number of idiots were a small percentage and usually were not local people. It’s rather sad to see that it has changed so much.
