I dunno, and I’m not a mod so take this with a grain of salt, but it seems like you GD’d a GQ, so to speak. Even though the thread was in Cafe Society, it really was a general question . . .what did Henry Fonda think about her actions? And you, along with Dmark, sort of tried to turn it into a debate about the appropriateness of her actions, not her father’s attitude towards them.
My comment was clearly about what her father’s opinion should be, which is within the topic of the OP.
Twickster inappropriately intervened because I skewered a liberal icon she probably likes. Note that she said nothing to Dmark, who praised Hanoi Jane.

Nope. The topic was what his opinion actually WAS - a factual question. Your personal opinion of what it should be is irrelevant and off topic.
Why is my post irrelevant, when Dmark’s is not?
It’s not GQ, and my comment is generally related to the topic. “On Topic” has never been construed so strictly. And Dmark’s post is basically a long-winded flip side of mine, yet it drew no mod intervention.
He included information relevant to the question (italics mine). It wasn’t just his opinion and nothing else.
If you felt his should have been modded as well, did you report it?
Dmark’s post was one minute after Twix. She probably didn’t see it at that point.

True, but he seems very invested on why DMark’s wasn’t modded, and seems to be drawing some conclusion or taking umbrage based on the lack of modding. Reporting his post and asking the question would get directly to the point. Likely Twix hadn’t seen it, so that would draw her attention and she could mod it (or not).
