Recent Mom, wearing a sheer top. How does she prevent accidents?

Kim’s proving once again that’s she’s not shy. :stuck_out_tongue: Not Safe for work. Unless your boss likes titties.

Saw that photo in a news article. A little present from Kim to her hubby Kanye. If that doesn’t keep him home at night then nothing will.

My wife and I are both puzzled how she’s pulling off this sheer top a few months after having a baby? My wife wore absorbent pads for at least two years after giving birth to our daughters. She breast feed both of them for almost that entire time. Pads are a necessity otherwise leakage happens. That’s probably not the ultra chic fashion look Kim is going for.

Any ideas? You think she’s already dried up by now? She may be too busy being a fake celebrity to breast feed. But, still the kid was just born last June. Can the tap dry up that fast?

Gotta say it dude. You have a trend of coming up with the most bizarre threads. :dubious:

Almost forgot the news article. Has the same photo (except smaller) so it’s going in a spoiler box too.

The photo was posted on Instagram while she was at Kanye’s Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival concert.

After 25 year of marriage I’ve become aware of this kind of stuff. Maybe I need to spend more time in the woods wrestling bears. I don’t want to lose my man card. Seriously though, my wife was the one that initially pointed out Kim’s potential problem. It’s been 20 odd years since she nursed our daughters and I’d nearly forgotten the problems that come with it.

Who says she’s breastfeeding?

“By not stimulating the breasts after birth, after a few days the production of milk will cease.”

Good thing to know your wife shares your same uh…unique view of the world. Someone for everyone.

Yeah, she’s probably too posh for that. There’s wet nurses out there for the rich.

A woman’s decision to not breast feed is not wholly dependent on her station in life.

That’s true. Anyway. It’s her loss. Some of my fondest memories are of the times when my wife was feeding our daughters. It’s an incredible and special time with a baby. I wouldn’t trade those memories of us together for all the money or fame in the world.

You also assume she chose not to breastfeed, which could be an entirely false assumption.

Well, I don’t know. That’s why I posted the question in IMHO. Maybe other ladies can provide answers. AFAIK any lactating women will have occasional leakage. But, I’m hardly an expert on the subject. I’ve seen it happen a few times and that’s about it. Others here will certainly know more than I do.

It’s not a joke question. It’s actually a real problem for young moms when they get dressed up for a night out.

I never had much of a problem with leaking when I was breastfeeding. Not everyone does.

I don’t mean to be so nitpicky about this but I have several friends who couldn’t breastfeed their children, and would have given their right arm to do so. And some who couldn’t and didn’t feel too bad but it was the right choice for then and the baby. But they got tons of flack from people they knew and strangers alike and it made then feel like shit - for no reason. Because they have happy, healthy, incredibly loved children and that’s all that matters. So you being so flippant about the whole thing, and accusing a woman for being too selfish to breastfeed, especially while mixing talk of breast feeding with terms like “titties” is just all sort of uncool.

Sorry for the spoiler box joke. It is kind of silly to spoiler a photo in a breast feeding thread. But thems the rules. I just follow them.

I have never breastfed, but maybe she pumps before she goes out dressed like that?

Interesting idea. Maybe pumping will prevent problems for a few hours? Something a young mom might consider trying. Probably need to pump anyway so the babysitter has a bottle for the baby while they’re out.

Serious question: Do you need to be a mother to produce breast milk? I assume it could be expressed by any woman at any time, no? And pardon my ignorance, but that’s what we’re here for in the first place.

Regular, intense stimulation of the breast tissue alone can eventually induce lactation in most women regardless of their gynecological or obstetrical history and very rarely in men.

Gave me a bonnaroo.

I’ve heard stories of wet nurses having a child and then producing milk for their job for many, many years. Back in the old days, before the pill they’d probably have additional babies too. I think modern wet nurses may only have 1 child and then they keep feeding or pumping for years and years? If they ever stop for any reason then its time to look for a new job or deliver a new baby.

There’s medication a woman can take to stop lactating.
