This is a good place to give shoutouts to the vBulletin 3.x line. Seriously, I have yet to see a forum software anywhere near as good. Most of the forums I’m on nowadays other than this one are running Woltlab Burning Board, and that thing is awful. Clunky, ugly-looking, pure WYSIWYG editor, eschews hyperlinks (no, seriously - in the “notifications” panel, I can’t open links in a new tab because there are no hyperlinks - it just uses some HTML5 bullshit I don’t understand to get me from point A to point B when I click on them, which is really great when I want to, say, open all my updated threads in new tabs), etc.
Having a forum still run vBulletin 3.8 is a breath of fresh air. I have yet to see any forum software that even comes close.
Now, if only Ambi would get working on the search function.
And filling the quote/text boxes with — you know — text. (The quote box for this one was empty.)

I would like to thank the dillweed that decided pills had to be round, so they roll off the table and onto the floor when you remove them from a bottle. Without that little invention, so many cats would be bored silly watching their subjects take a pill.

And, a small question: I’ve noticed that there is a little green dot next to my name when I’m reading the board…and I happen to be a recycler. Does the little green dot next to everyone elses names mean that they, too, are recyclers? If so, how in the world did you ever figure that out?
And for all those losers with the gray dots…BOO!!! BOO!!!

I’m just guessing but I think the green dot means that person is currently active and logged into this board. So no one should try to hijack their PC at that time. People must wait until they are logged off before attempting to hijack their PC. In that way, they won’t likely notice if you empty out their bank accounts at that time.
They will, of course, find out, the next time they access their online bank account. But people will be safe until that time.
Again, that is just my opinionion. I saw that on The Onionion web site.
