Recommend an iPhone game

I’m looking for an iPhone game. It has to be something that I can play for a few minutes at a time, put away, and pick back up later.

I’m not hugely interested in a twitch or reflex game. My favorite genre of pc/console games is adventure/puzzle games where there’s a strong storyline, then you learn the game mechanics and use them to find your way past puzzles. Things like Ico, the original Prince of Persia, etc.

But I’m open to just about anything that’s fun.
Thanks!

Bejeweled is the king of short game. The Blitz game is 1 minute timed.

Another one I found recently that I like a lot is Tiny Wings. Not really a twitch game, but it does require good timing.

Plants vs. Zombies for iPhone is pretty good, although not as good as the PC version. It’s basically a tower defense game, although it’s an awesome tower defense game.

angry birds.

Sword & Poker (or Sword & Poker II)

I’m liking “Wally 2” (it’s a where’s wally game)

Phoenix Wright (if you haven’t played it already).
No twitch at all - it’s a puzzler with a strong story, but you can put it to sleep any time. I’d call it more of an adventure puzzler, kind of like the old kings quest games.
I personally am playing Bug Heroes at the moment - it’s strangely addictive for me. It’s a kind of a tower defence/beat-em-up mix.

I just finished beating the Boxed In games. There are 3 of them. They’re challenging puzzle games, but no storyline. The publishers made the games free, encouraging players to donate to Japanese relief instead. I just started playing Relix, made by the same folks.

Toobz is fun. You have to build a network of pipe to carry water out of the sector of blocks, without having a water spill. It’s a work against the clock game but it’s not shriekingly fast paced.

There’s also Tapout with is your standard blockade/car park sort of strategy game, with multiple levels, and boats instead of blocks or cars. It’s a nice little challenge because you can keep redoing levels to try to beat your best result.

Bullfighting Hero.

+1. The Sword & Poker games were way, way more fun than they had any right to be.

Civilization revolution.

You can play a few turns at a time. Or more if you want. Problem is I sometimes start it on the toilet and before I know it I’ve been in a lot longer than I expected and have dead leg.

Drop 7

Seconing Tiny Wings

Boooly

I’ve been wondering if there’s been an increase in 'roids since all these smartphones came out…

I actually just finished both of them, prompting this thread in the first place.

I’ll second Drop7 and Tiny Wings.

I’ll also put a vote in for Dungeon Raid, a Bejeweled-type game with RPG elements. Very addictive, polished, and regularly updated.

Try “The Last Ace of Space”. It’s like Doodle Jump (endless level, but gets harder), only with more variety, and better graphics. My friends showed it to me, and I think it’s a great time-filler.

I just wanted to thank you for suggesting Tiny Wings. Based on this suggestion I downloaded it yesterday and am now hopelessly hooked. In fact, I was up until 3am playing it and started back as soon as I got up this morning. Screw Angry Birds.

Just downloaded High Noon for free 2 nights ago:
