Recommend to me trivia/simulator PS3 games

I just recently purchased the new PS3 slim, with one racing game (Originally I was going to get the GT5 prologue, but instead got Need for speed shift). Its fun, But I would also like to know what other good games are out there that are reasonably realistic (NFS:S is not what I would call super accurate).

Im not into FPS games, they just arent fun, but am wondering if there are any good adventure games that arent just devolved into FPS.

Trivia games Like the you dont know jack series would be good, (leads me to think there should be a SD trivia game).
Mods, sorry, wrong forum, feel free to move it to games.

Racing: Dirt, Dirt 2, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Grid.

Trivia: probably the Buzz! series.

Adventure: Dragon Age: Origins.

could a mod please move this to the game room?
Thanks for the recommendations LS

Ah, never mind, actually. Disregard.

Funny, I got your original unedited post in my email.

Moved Cafe Society --> The Game Room.

Thank you for the move

Batman Arkham Asylum is really well made. I am a huge Batman fan, so that might bias me. But, I think it would have been fun in any context.

Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is extremely fun with outstanding graphics. (sequel is supposed to be fun, but I am waiting for it to get cheap.)
Assassin’s Creed another fun game with an interesting plot and great graphics. (same story on that sequel.)

As mentioned Dragon Age is great. Along similar lines Elder Scrolls Oblivion is a lot of fun, too.

what sorts of games are these? 3rd person rpg’s? fps? Something else Im not envisioning right now?

They are all 3rd person games.

Dragon age and Elder Scrolls are RPG games. Both from companies with what I consider a good track record in the genre.

Batman is an action adventure game with a fight mechanism that isn’t too hard to pick up. And some puzzles to figure out in the game.
Uncharted is an action adventure game with some puzzles to solve and some fun stuff to find.
Assassin’s creed is an action adventure game with a pretty easy fight mechanism and a pretty cool way to get out of trouble. They have some things to find in this game but there is so much it starts to weigh you down. Flags all over the place.

Those are just some quick thoughts about the games.

I can’t speak to their quality but there are train simulators for the PS3 called Railfan that let you drive an elevated train in Chicago or a cross country line in Taiwan. There is no official US release but my understanding of it is that the PS3 lacks any region locks so you can import it through stores like Play-Asia.com.
