I need to organize a smallish (20-30) person gathering in NYC, and since it’s been ten years since I’ve worked in the city, I realize I have no clue where to start looking.
So, any NYC area Dopers have any suggestions? Weekday evening, couple hours long. The crowd would be all ages from 30s up, casual environment, non-touristy, food and drink, music not necessary. A place with a private or semi-private room would be best. I’d prefer to stay away from the chains such as Heartland, Houlihan’s or the like. Doesn’t need to be super cheap, but shouldn’t be pricey. Midtown I guess would be preferable, but I’ll take any ideas.
Boy, re-reading this, it sounds like I’m just looking for the perfectly average bar or restaurant… I guess that’s about right!
