Recurring sitcom "bits"

Bob Sacamano, but also (Crazy) Joe Devola.

My favorite was when she did it to Bizarro Jerry and he fell over and the other Bizarro guys stared at her as though she’d raped the Pope.

The gang visits a bowling alley, and Norm goes for a drink. From inside the alley’s bar: “Norm!” This causes all the Cheers regulars to stop what they’re doing.

*Jokes about Karen’s rather prominent cleavage/endowment.

This was a fairly obvious rip-off of “Norm!”, and it only lasted a few episodes.

Along similar lines, but in reverse order: Peg Bundy’s mom. She was supposed to be played by Divine but Mr. Milstead passed on before this could happen. Then the character’s size started getting larger, as evidenced by her chair and what she did to the Bundy’s railing.

Personally, I hoped the ~450lb. porn star Eartha Quake would have been cast in the series finale. Darlene Cates would’ve worked as well.

Mary’s awful parties were a recurring bit on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

The circle from That 70’s Show seems to be in every episode.

Really? I’m sure I’ve seen at least 20 episodes and I don’t remember it ever not being in any scene in the bar. And if it was a ripoff of Norm! it was a clever one, because the unexplained, never-mentioned presence of the wickedly bright light outside was nicely odd.

‘Ugly Naked Guy’ from Friends

IIRC, Daphne thought she saw a coatrack. “Is the coatrack breathing?..That’s Maris!”

Kotter’s uncle jokes.

Smithers pining for/lusting after Burns, or oblique references to his orientation.

I liked Flanders better when his appearances were bits, instead of his being the focus of entire episodes.
