Red Bull heir arrested in deadly Thai hit-and-run

Another update. The little prick is finally due back in Bangkok tonight from Singapore, but wouldn’t ya know it? The police can’t arrest the cop killer upon arrival, because the police haven’t sought an arrest warrant. Can you say “D’oh!”? What do you think the odds of that could be?

Thank you for keeping us updated. I am still curious to see the end result, even though we all know what it will be.

You’re welcome. The politician in that story, Chuwit, is a colorful and interesting character. He made a huge fortune from massage parlors/brothels before entering politics and has become sort of an attack dog against the government. I’m hoping he’ll keep the pressure on.

I can’t find it on the website, but Wednesday’s hard copy of the Bangkok Post has police denying Chuwit’s assertion that the kid was due to slip back into the country and saying he’s still in Singapore. No telling who’s correct. But it could be the kid decided to stay put once his return became publicized.

So we’re coming up on two years soon since that little shit killed the cop, and he’s still running around loose. Update here.

And the cop’s family is pretty disheartened about the whole thing.

Bumping this for an update. He’s in the news again because yet another rich kid just killed some more people in an accident he caused while under the influence, so they’re spotlighting all of them. There are several cases still open.

For the Red Bull brat, prosecutors are still waiting to interview “witnesses,” I guess meaning the brat himself since he’s never spoken to the cops or prosecutors about it.

This is the kind of thing that in some places might get the kid a walk. For instance, if the charges specified in court documents are spelled differently than whatever he claims the “actual” spelling is. “Whoever that is, it’s not ME, your honor.”

What counts is how it’s spelled using the Thai alphabet. They’ve got that down okay.

Hopefully a positive development, with the worthless little fuck being ordered to meet with prosecutors. Almost four years on, but finally. And no timeline set, but reports are it must be this month.

And the little shit has failed again to show up and meet with prosecutors. Not a word from his lawyers either, and no one knows his whereabouts. But wait a minute! All hope is not lost. They’re giving him yet one more chance to turn himself in, by next month, or else they’re really going to get tough this time. Yessirree, now they’re serious.

Most people believe he’s in hiding outside the country, so why the authorities don’t cancel his passport is anyone’s guess. As I recall, he was last seen in Singapore a few years ago for the F1 race, but could not return due to “feeling ill.” Then nothing. Nada.

Perhaps they will invalidate his library card. That should get his attention.

He can read?

I suspect he has servants to do that for him.

Coming up on five years since he killed the cop, and the Red Bull heir escapes indictment yet again. He’s just too busy to meet with prosecutors, gosh darn it.

Too bad for the police he’s so hard to find. Oh, wait.

Why they can’t just pay a court to determine involuntary manslaughter? That would be the easiest thing to do.

The latest on this little shit’s antics and evasions, being splashed about again in the headlines, isn’t going to sit too well with the extensive anti corruption campaign currently being carried out across the land, it seems to me.

When I saw this cropping up again, my first thought was that, I’d be especially worried were I him, that all this renewed press was just precursor to the hammer being about to fall. Extrajudicially, as it were. Otherwise, why is it suddenly news again? I’d be booking a long holiday away, if I were him!

Nah, any penalty he’ll eventually “suffer” will seem to him and his family as no worse than a gnat buzzing around their nose. It stays in the news because much of the public is outraged. But this is literally the wealthiest family in Thailand, and like usual they will buy their way out of any legal penalties. They’ve already paid a few hundred dollars to the dead cop’s family — pre-Internet days, that would have been enough to let the incident fade away quickly. This will just take a little longer to fade. The family’s position is the only thing that keeps this incident from having already disappeared. I’ve seen it time and time again.

Donald Trump has nothing on your typical wealthy Thai. I dealt with enough of them to know. You think Trump has a problem with ever admitting culpability or ever having been wrong or even exhibiting contrition? Pfft! He’s just an amateur compared.

BBC just released a story in the last hour describing this apparent manslaughter-er. He’s in the UK now, it seems.

Red Bull heir faces passport revocation

The arrest warrant is good for another 10 years. I’ll still believe it when I see it though.
