I was just wondering if someone could help me with a Russian dialogue question from the movie Red Dawn.
At one point—and I really don’t think it’s a spoiler, but anyway—during a military parade, a Russian officer (I think it’s William Smith as Col. Strelnikov) turns to the observing officers, salutes, and says something in Russian as he marches by.
My question is…what was it he said, and what does it mean, in english?
It just occured to be that a sound clip might make things easier. Eh?
"In Occupied Amerika, partisans find you!"
He says “glazi lyevo”, which is Russian for “Eyes Left”. It’s the command to salute used when marching troops pass the reviewing stand - sort of like “Present Arms” while in motion.

BTW, Strelnikov (“the Shooter”), a/k/a Pasha Antipov (Lara’s husband), was a Bolshevik general in Doctor Zhivago.
