I’m a (non-white, but also non-traditionally-discriminated-against minority) male with no kids. I wouldn’t have too much sympathy for myself if it happened to me; it’s not that hard for me to pull up stakes and find a new place to live.

She paid her rent. On time. In my renter’s contract, I have certain guidelines. I have a copy of the contract. I have read it. I follow it. Landlord should also be obligated to follow both the law and the contract.
I don’t generally participate in RO threads. However I dont just see that one as an RO thread. I rent, as I mentioned in the other thread. I always pay attention to renting news and learn as much as I can.
Lastly, if you don’t think that there is a difference in the distance to the finish line depending on what level you were born at, how much money your parents have, what color you are, and where you were born, you are sadly deluded. I am not complaining, mind you. I understand that’s reality. However to say “she should have KNOWN” is as naive as you can get, really.
