Don’t you see? This is completely consistent with Rand Rover’s philosophy: everyone deserves the misery of their life, so sympathy is irrelevant. Misery would never happen if you took appropriate measures to avoid it, therefore, if misery happens, it’s your own damn fault.
I am more than happy to know that RR has the courage of his heartless convictions. Why beg him to show conservative compassion for the less fortunate when such a thing does not actually exist? You are asking him to lie and not be true to himself. Just because some conservatives are able to fake compassion for public consumption doesn’t require all conservatives to do the same. Well, if you change the person’s race, sex, and delete 3 of the 4 people being evicted, there might be a change in the press’s interest in printing a story about it.
