References to Hurley's Numbers in "Lost"

I just finished rewatching the entire first season of Lost on DVD. I tried to pay particular attention this time to references to the “cursed” lottery numbers that Hurley played, which were 4,8,15,16,23 and 42. Here is list (incomplete I am sure) of what I was able to come up with:

Complete set (all six numbers)

  • Hurley’s lottery ticket (of course)
  • the numbers on the Frenchwoman’s maps
  • the numbers on the hatch
  • the numbers on the back of the girl’s soccer team uniforms as Hurley ran to catch his plane

Combinations (more than one number)

  • the flight number (Oceanic 815)
  • the date that Kate and her boyfriend made the audiotape to go into their time capsule (8-15)

Single numbers
(4) - number of castaways who took off on the raft
(4) - number of castaways who opened the hatch
(4) - KPH of Hurley’s rental car shown as he broke down on the way to the airport

(8) - KPH of Hurley’s rental car shown as he broke down on the way to the airport
(8) - people on the island who have died so far (Boone, Arzt, Ethan, the pilot, Scott – or was it Steve?, the lady who drowned, the guy who got sucked into the jet engine, and the marshall)

(15) - no individual references spotted

(16) - number of years that the Frenchwoman’s message has been playing
(16) - age of the Frenchwoman’s daughter Alex if she is still alive

(23) - reward on Kate’s head ($23,000)
(23) - Jack’s row number on the plane
(23) - Rose’s seat number on the plane
(23) - the gate number that Flight 815 departed from

(42) - total KPH driven on Hurley’s rental car when it broke down
(42) - the row number of Ana Lucia (who Jack met at the airport bar)

I am sure that I am missing many more references. Any help would be appreciated.

Although it’s not really what you’re looking for, it was pointed out in TV Guide that the numbers are also retired uniform numbers of the New York Yankees:

4- Lou Gehrig
8- Yogi Berra and Bill Dickey
15- Thurman Munson
16- Whitey Ford
23- Don Mattingly
42- Jackie Robinson (though not a Yankee, his number was retired by all 30 MLB teams in 1997 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of baseball)

According to the producers of the show, this was a coincidence, albeit an interesting one. Again, not what you’re looking for, but I thought it was funny.

The TV IV wiki has a good listing:

http://tviv.info/wiki/Lost/Numbers_(plot_device)

[16] - Hurley offers $16,000 for the little scooter thing while trying to make the plane in the airport.

Also, when Walt woke Michael up in the hotel room watching TV, the clock had said 5:16 or something with two of the numbers, but I’m not sure which.

Now to read the TV guide listing.

Wow. They sure came up with a lot more than me! (But almost all of mine were listed).

This list is just plain absurd:
