Yeah, so I’m obsessed with the series of “Numbers” from the episode of “Lost” with the same name. I’ve got a couple of crackpot theories; what’s yours?
Please note: I want to play by the rules of the regular “Lost” discussion threads. That is to say I’m only interested in your original ideas, not what you may have read in non-spoiler-free venues. To wit:

My latest theory: Start with the sequence in numerical order

Subtract each number from the previous one to obtain a second sequence:

Translate each of these numbers to its corresponding letter:

Shift each letter forward two spaces:

IMDb doesn’t have anything listed, but do we know anybody by this name?
I don’t the numbers have any special signifcance of themselves. I think it’s a combination lock for the hatch. But, there’s no way to key anything in on the hatch itself, so maybe we have to transmit the number sequence some way. Heck, part of the numbers could be the frequency on which to transmit. Remember that the signal was broadcasting those numbers for quite some time. Whatever is inside that hatch wants out really bad.
Oh, speculation. I don’t read spoilers boards at all. I’ve never actually even seen the show, but I love reading the recaps on TWOP.
Many or all latent psychics, they are in some strange magnetic nexus that their psychic powers has brought them to. They are all leading interconnected lives and the island will slowly reveal to them their powers. It won’t be pretty. This has happened before and Rosseau alluded to it when she talked about “the sickness.” We’ve already seen Walt’s power to commune with animals. We’ve obviously seen Locke’s transformation. Hurley’s luck plays into it too. We saw a transformed human in the shape of Ethan, with his strength and cunning. Don’t know about Rosseau, perhaps it just drove her mad. I’d guess that the monster is another human transformed.
