When reporting a spammer, should we report all of their posts, a representative sample, or just one?
Reporting posts from multiple forums sends the message out to more people, and betters the odds that someone will check their e-mail right away and deal with the matter sooner rather than later.
In other words…y’all go ahead and spam the Mods!

Just one should do it. We’ll ban the spammer and look for any other threads/posts he/she/it has made. We’ll occasionally miss one, but not very often; most spammers get only one shot before they’re banned.

There was an obvious spam thread that was still alive and kicking after several hours. I went to other forums, clicked on random threads to “report”, then provided a link to the offending thread, along with “There’s nothing wrong with this thread, but this one over here needs to be locked.”
I’m confused . . . why didn’t you just report the problem thread by clicking its “report post” button?
That would send a report to the moderators of that forum. ivylass wanted to alert all the mods, since apparently the moderators for that forum weren’t online at the time.
