Republican Senate Candidate Sharron Angle Proposes Armed Insurrection If the Tea Party Loses

Sharron Angle to conservative talk-show host Lars Larson:

So, Sharron Angle, former member radical right-wing groups such as the Oath Keepers and Independent American Party–and current supporter of the Oath Keepers–is now floating the idea of armed insurrection if she and other Tea Party candidates are not elected to Congress.

As Angle herself said, "“I’m not too far right. There’s no such thing.”

Angle has received endorsements from prominent Republicans and conservative groups, including Jim DeMint (SC-Sen), the Club for Growth, Johnny Isakson (GA-Sen), Michael Steele, Sarah Palin, the National Right to Life Committee, and the NRA.

I’m sure that any minute now the RNC will release a statement condemning her for promoting armed insurrection.

Any. Minute. Now.

I’m sure that what she really meant by “the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.” was that people should vote against him.

And I’m sure that her reference to “people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies” that came just before “take Harry Reid out” was just an unfortunate coincidence.

I’m sure.

Really.

She just meant to vote. Without your guns. Because we always say that when someone is democratically voted out of office, that they were “taken out” by those who “look toward those Second Amendment remedies”.

Just to provide more context to her quoting Jefferson: http://etext.virginia.edu/jefferson/quotations/jeff0300.htm
Look for the The Spirit of Resistance and below.

I think she is being extremely reckless in her statements and could well set in motion a nut to try and kill Harry Reid. She is clearly unfit for office, any office.

No no no! It’s the Liberal Media, who are trying to smear her, by taking comments completely out of context! It’s probably being done on orders from Barack Hussein Obama himself.

I didn’t even notice the part about “tak[ing] out Harry Reid,” probably because as you read teabagger screeds you tend to become innured to them.

Regardless, even if she meant that Reid would only be removed from office by the electoral process, she still explicitly and unambiguously supported violent revolution.

Duh. Republican!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Those bulleye comments are just coincidences from a straight [del]shoo…[/del] talker!

Let’s not discourage them from trying the armed insurrection thing. Teabaggers Vs. The United States Armed Forces. That’s something I would dearly love to see.

There would be civilian deaths before the military could get involved. I’d rather not see it escalate.

I voted with my gun once. I just walked into the booth and started shooting the machine. “Count THIS, Diebold!” blamblamblam

Who says the democratic process can’t be cathartic?

They don’t let me vote anymore.

In the primary, the Republicans had a choice between her and Sue “Pay Them With Chickens” Lowden. Angle was the best choice of the two, to most.

Which is one reason why, come November, Harry Reid will be celebrating another electoral victory.

Wasn’t there a 3rd choice?

But this lady is scary. Scary not like I’d actually be afraid of her, but scary like how can someone be so stupid?

-Stupidity is celebrated.

-Stupid people with shallow, simplistic answers to complex problems are lauded.

-Those who forge ahead against the changing world of “facts” and repeat their mistakes over and over and over are thought to be leaders, since they don’t “flip flop”.

-Elections have been won regularly by frightening stupid voters by fears of “other”.

In keeping with the “ONE MAN – ONE VOTE” rule you’d think that the corollary in the case of resorting to Second Amendment voting is “ONE VOTER _ ONE ROUND.” Arguably pumping more than one shot into a voting machine or political candidate would constitute voter fraud.

Is it because of the gun thing, or did they finally notice that you’re a monkey? :stuck_out_tongue:

Excuse me, both of you, but-- in the relevant regulatory language we now refer to such as a “Non-Human Primate”.

I don’t know whether that gets you extra ammunition or not.

Wow. That is seriously not cool.

“Non-Human” is too anthroponormative. Speciesist.

I’m not necessarily advocating, I’m just reporting, is all.

*Hey, Mister Monkey, you know what they say about “not” and “messengers”, right?

Right?*
