I totally disagree. I’d gladly accept TPP if it’s the price of getting a President who’s just evil instead of evil, stupid and crazy.
Since Trump will be staying at Trump Tower instead of the White House most of the time, he might get busted for violating a New York state law, which he can’t pardon himself for.
Paul Ryan appears poised to retake the House while Trumpistas are fighting amongst themselves about the direction they’re administration is going in.

Trump absolutely could be impeached, and it’s ever the more likely given that a) he has no clue what his boundaries are in terms of his political relations in congress and in terms of the Constitution, and b) because the GOP already has Mike Pence running the show. Trust me, the fact that Mike Pence is inside the Oval Office is not insignificant, as he is highly respected conservative in the House and a state governor who is strong across several key constituencies.
If Trump fucks up, if he wants to step out and be his own guy independent of Republicans, he will get a warning, and the second time, he’ll get an impeachment. The key question then is whether or not Democrats would oblige.
I asked about this in GQ. As a practical matter it would be difficult since state would not be able to compel him to attend the trial, let alone remand him to custody without Congress removing him from office.
Doesn’t Trump have to actually commit an impeachable offense before he’s impeached, or doesn’t the Democrat collective require that he do that?
Thanks to Hillary extremely poor showing, it’s unlikely that the Democrat collective will be in a position to impeach anyone for the next 8 years.
That’s about right, and you don’t want running in 2020 either. If Trump does a Jesse Ventura and only lasts 3.5 years, with Pence running the show at the end, it looks better for Democrats.
There is no reasonable projection for an insane situation.
You really should read the OP and the thread before commenting.
My bold.
As of today, Hillary leads the popular vote by ONE MILLION, so she definitely turned out more voters than The Donald.
My bold. Plus underline.
Ahem - Hillary simply couldn’t turn out voters where she needed them.
If things were different, things would be different. If the overall, total numbers of a national vote decided a Presidential election, Hillary would be President-elect. But she’s not.
I’m happy for you that Hillary turned out more voters than Trump. However, the U.S. President has never been decided by national, popular vote. Sucks to be Hillary.
One word: gerrymandering.
One word: Cite?
Like Illinois’s 4th Congressional District?
I’m not sure if Chicago Democrats gerrymandered the 4th to pay homage to the Chicago Cubs, or gerrymandered it to create a Hispanic voting block?
As long as he doesn’t veto any Republican bills he’s pretty safe from impeachment, they will overlook almost anything so long as their agenda is moving forward.
Vetoing a bill doesn’t rise to the level of crimes and misdemeanors. Thanks for playing.
Didn’t say it did, thanks for reading(poorly)
If The Donald did start vetoing stuff and asserting his independence, I’m sure they could come up with “crimes and misdemeanors” without looking too far, even if it meant stretching the facts to fit their needs, or making up some offenses for the good of the country.

You wrote, “As long as he doesn’t veto any Republican bills he’s pretty safe from impeachment,”.
Apparently you didn’t imply that if Trump veto’s any Republican bills, he will be impeached.
It’s not that tough. We’re talking about the real world, not the letter of the law. He won’t be impeached if he doesn’t veto any Republican bills, because Republican congressmen don’t give a rat’s ass about the country as long as they get their tax cuts, environmental and financial carte blanche, and voter suppression laws sufficient to guarantee their tenure.
If he does veto too often, which he won’t, he could be impeached, but probably won’t be. The fact that vetoing isn’t a crime has nothing to do with it. If they want him gone, they have all kinds of things they can accuse him of, e.g. blatant corruption for giving his kids access to top secret info while they are running his businesses.
