Middle school and high school teacher checking in - I need help finding some reputable poetry contests suitable for 8th and 9th graders to enter. Using the web is about useless for searching for literary contests since so many of them are shoddy, poorly run, or just ripoffs used for nefarious purposes.
So I need help locating some, perhaps, that other teachers have had good experiences with. So, Rubystreak, or any others out there let me know if you have any ideas.
FYI, no religious themed contests since I work at a public, and I live in Texas, so any national or Texas contest could work.
