I ate delicious pizza for supper and burned my mouth. In other words, things are normal here.
Supper was yum - salmon, twice baked N.O.T., broccoli, and raw shrooms with dressing. Oatmeal cookies for dessert. My tummy is happy.
It’s raining, sorta. But from the look of the weather radar, I’m going to have to hose down the plants I fed today so the nutrients work down to the roots. So I guess that’s tomorrow’s chore.
All in all, a pretty good day here.
Worked, now it’s hockey time. Gotta decide on dinner.
I skate so fast, I go back in time.
The local Chinese does delivery, they do not pick up.(i asked one time when the critters were acting up.:D)
Red, I have a Rubbermaid travel devilied aig container, for tailgates.
You do, of course, transfer the aigs to a proper deviled aig tray before servin’, right? :dubious:
Guessing they meant a Tupperware tray for the hexed ova. We’ve got one here that’s rectangular and holds about two dozen halves, which isn’t enough. Harvest gold, even!
Tahred. MWAH!
Home from work and ready for a thrilling round of medical crap tomorrow. No biggie – the usual 10,000 mile check-up and oil change. I like my doc and she likes me so its as much a social visit as a professional one.
You insult my honor, sir. I challenge you to shoot Flytrap at dawn! Choose your Second.
Howdy All! I have been having a hell of a time with me login and password for this board. I have reset it once again.
I went today and had my hair did. Just dyed to cover my grays. I am back to brunette.
I left irk early for hair appt so went by grocery and procured makings for beast stew. It was excellent. I also made cornbread which was perfect.
My life is ok. Irk is all I do except commute back and forth to irk. We are now at the end of month which for me means a crap ton of EOM reports, inventory, credit card and fuel card statements, patron counts, and on and on. I sold a cruise on Royal Caribbean to Jamaica. Made $104 commission. I actually got my customers an excellent deal. Five nights in a balcony stateroom for a little over 1K. Seriously, customers could not stay in a hotel room w all food, entertainment, and destinations included for $100 per day each.
I lurk and read always. Glad Spring is Sprunging for most of youse.
I have been meaning to ask Dogiooo How much is a Splort?
Congrats to Vunderboobio on new car!
I should be happy to be your Second, Swampy.
Allow me to carry the firearms.
It’s the liquid equivalent of a shake.
You do know that if you don’t transfer your deviled aigs to a proper plate, TPTB will revoke your southern resident status.
Good luck with your 10K checkup, ruble. Mine was Monday.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 64 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 82 and sunny for the day. Of course da bear will be inside all day but still it’s nice to know the weather’s good.
I has a sad this mornin’. A good friend and fellow Parishoner died yestiddy evenin’ at the age of 92. He’d been in bad health for several years and well, was 92, so it’s not a shock just sad. When he’d come to men’s night over to the church house, I would grill his steak for him. He liked it well-done. I would grill it and say, “Here ya go Arthur! One piece of shoe leather!” It was our joke. Or, I’d bring in the plate with the steak on it and he’d say, “There’s my shoe leather!” He was a retired art professor and a fantastic artist. RIP Arthur. Another of my father’s generation gone.
Now that I’ve given y’all a downer, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Oh well, only today and tomorrow to go!
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
**swampy **- sorry about Arthur - even when one has had a long life, it’s still tough to lose such a friend. I’m sure he can get shoe leather in heaven.
The evolution of April Fools Day is certainly interesting. My earliest memories include such gems as “Your shoe’s untied!” <pause while they look> “APRIL FOOLS!!!” Actually, I never really evolved past that stage - I can’t keep a straight face so I can’t pull off AF gags. And while I find some stunts that people pull to be rather clever, mostly I find the day stupid and annoying. So I’ll be glad when it’s over.
Today’s supposed to be sunny, but not as warm as yesterday was. I’m going to do some laundry and tackle a couple of the easier items on my to-do list. It’s definitely not the day to be scrubbing the deck railing (the white vinyl is kinda green with grunge) but there are several outside lightbulbs that need to be replaced, and I think it’s safe to move my spider plants outside again. Productivity will ensue.
Looking ahead, on Firday, I’ll boil eggs, and on Sat, I’ll dye the whites to festive Easter colors. I don’t have a proper egg tray - at least not yet. I have some in the kiln waiting to be fired - we’ll see how they work out. But till then, I have 2 elongated Tupperware containers (real Tupperware, not generic plastic) that will hold the eggs nicely. As if it really matters. They’ll be inhaled in short order.
Looking a little less far ahead, tomorrow is FCD’s payday, so I can turn around and send money to the people who hacked the hole in my skull. Dang medical bills…
Life, as always, is exciting at FairyChatEstates!
Happy Wednesday!
Happy Hump Day!
Happy April Fools Day!
It’s a sunny 36 degrees outside, supposed to get into the 60s.
So far the day sucks, so it can only get better right?

Up and caffeinated. Working the closing shift tonight Happy Hump a Fool Day!
Sorry about your friend. {{swampy}}
**sari **- it has been said that if you start your day by eating a live toad, it can only get better. Just a thought.
The load of jeans is hanging out and shortly, the timer will beep for the load of shirts that’s in the washer right now. I think I can do one more to fill the lines, and save the rest for tomorrow. Good times!
:dubious:
We would never be cruel to a toad by making you swallow him.
Today I have an all out running nose, no energy, does Dominoes delivery breakfast, lunch, and dinner cold. I was reminded by my mother that it could be worse. When I was 19 and on Spring Break from college I got chicken pox.
Yes, I’ll take this any day.
