Rest In Peace Li'l Pancake Bunny

Oolong, known to most as the ‘pancake bunny’ has passed away. He was a sweet little bunny, that balanced various items on his head and loved to pose for photography.

There is an LJ Community in his honor and the original site for Oolong and his owner is here, although it is in Japanese.

Are there sadder, more tragic things going on in the world right now? Of course. Was Oolong ‘just a rabbit’? I don’t know…

But the point is he was a creature that brought a lot of smiles and giggles to a lot of people, and now he’s gone, and I just wanted to say good bye…

and now…I will put this pastry on my head in tribute.

Bye Bye Oolong. :frowning:

Bye Bye Oolong… Poor bunny.

(I, too have two pet house rabbits-- so I know how cute these creatures can be.) sniff sniff

I understand he was sick, so I guess it’s for the best…but still…honestly, I’m crying about it. Losing a pet is awful.

Yes it is. Those pics of pancake bunny are so cute.

Rabbits are really good pets… very loveable, fiesty and fun to play with.

I think I may try putting things on my little Thumbellina’s head…I really think she would stay still for that.

This is the second tribute to Oolong on a message board that I have seen today. Influencial little bunny!

I had heard the translation as “FoodBunny” tho…

Awww! The picture of him in the grave is just too sad. Poor li’l guy.

I am really sorry to hear about Oolong. I never even met the little guy and I cried after seeing all of those pictures. Bye Oolong :frowning:

At least he had plenty of tasty pancakes to keep his ears warm.

I don’t know… he looked kinda shifty in those pictures. Something about the eyes.

He looks like the kind of guy, you think he’s all sweetness and light… “Oh, Oolong’s a great guy! He reads to blind tubercular orphans, y’know”… you’re borrowing each other’s car keys – and you turn your back for one second -just one second- and BAM! In with the shiv!

Sneaky little bastard. I’m glad he’s dead.

… what?

Now we know why bear use bunnies after pooping in the woods.

Awww…poor oolong! :frowning:
