Restaurant/Pub suggestions near Phil. 30th St Station - need answer fast :)

I and a colleague will need to kill 4 to 5 hours near 30th Street Station in Philadelphia tomorrow.

We’ll need to eat dinner, plus drinks, and would travel (walking) up to 6 blocks to see something of interest.

We’ll be there round 3 in the afternoon through dinner time.

Any ideas?

From there, you have access to pretty much anywhere in Center City on the blue line. What sort of foods do you like?

We eat just about everything, to be honest.

All sorts of Asian, pub food. My companion says he is less than excited by Cambodian food (fool!).

I was wondering how late Reading Terminal stays open - it looks like justa couple of stops on the MFL line (is that blue?). Also the Rittenhouse square neighborhood looks to be lousy with restaurants, and appears to be a short walk or subway ride away.

Price range - this is a business trip s we don’t have to be stingy, but ethically we should avoid premium steakhouse prices.

Yeah, the blue line is the MFL. Reading Terminal is only open till 6:00, but the Rittenhouse square area is about like you think it is. Your timing is excellent, as this week is Restaurant Week. Most of the participating restaurants are a little pricier than I would ordinarily go for, but I can recommend Cuba Libre, XIX and The Palm.

Thanks, we’ll head in that direction and see if any of your suggested places have room for us.

Many thanks!
