What can I say, Yeticus? I had the straight, and moved all in. I can’t believe you had the boat. It was a great heads-up match and three-handed with Nesta was brutal too. I knew the whole thing wouldn’t be over until we both had a hand at the same time. I’ll get you next time.
As long as I keep taking second place and losing to different people, my spot in the rankings is in good shape. So who’s the one to beat me next week? Looking at the rankings, I’m rooting for Only Mostly Dead.
I have one win under my belt from last season. This time around, I have nowhere to go but up. I think I stood a decent chance if you hadn’t killed me on my best hand of the night.
I almost bit it when I got down to ~$350 and almost ended up in 9th place, because I was station calling with some marginal hands, but then I had to tighten up a bit so I could at least finish in the top half. After a few fortunate hands, I was able to loosen back up some more and have fun.
When it got down to the three of us, there was quite a bit of time for numerous lead changes that happened constantly, but Old Lady Power[sup]TM[/sup] prevailed over the Goat Roper (Cowboy) and Bon Jovi (blue sweat suit guy?)…since xray was asking about character mojo last night.
…and it was great to have 10 players at the beginning of the tournament…a first! I know asterion didn’t have too much fun last night, but at least he saw a few hands instead of no hands.
OK all you poker players, it’s Thursday! As for Mojo, I had all my best nights as Larry King. Every other character has let me down 
If the last few weeks trends continue, I should either win tonight or flame out spectacularly in the first 10 hands. Personally, I’m hoping for the former.
I hope to be there tonight. That will pretty much be my standard line for like the next 7 weeks while this trivia season is on. Hope to see you then and more importantly, I hope to stop my streak of early busting out (I feel like the xray of old).

Incidentally, tonight has once again proven what I’ve known for quite some time: I don’t have heads-up strategy figured out yet. Overall, I think about about 2:1 to lose heads up, no matter what the money spread. I just don’t get it, I fear. Not enough practice, though about half my games on partypoker I get to heads-up pretty handily. As far as the doper games, I know I have gotten to heads up twice, maybe three times, and only won once, so that’s pretty on target.
So if anybody else wants a little heads-up brush-up during the week, feel free to IM me and we can set up a 2 person game on pokerroom. I figure this won’t improve me too much in the overall game, since I don’t even see heads-up often against you lot.
