Sounds interesting, but I need to have some idea of a work schedule. If I can never play because I’m working Thursday nights, then I don’t know when, if ever, I’ll be able to start again. At least not until the start of the school year.
I’ll be in sure. I already spend 5 bucks a week(give or take) in my family game, whats another buck or so?

I’m game for Pokertropolis. Been busy over the weekend and yesterday, and just caught up from Friday…I could write a check to xray, or do they take credit cards as well? Maybe I should go take a look at the site and then decide.
Looks like they take Visa. One of my Prime Directives is “Never Use a Credit Card for Gambling”, but I guess this really isn’t gambling…I KNOW you guys will clean me out!
But a few questions…It’s damn swell of X Ray to cover us, but I feel like a pansy for not ponying up my own funds. Here’s hoping that a) these guys ain’t crooks, and b) if they are, fraud protection will cover any extraneous charges. I feel like if they had a reputation for being crooks, it would have hit the 'net and spread like wildfire. So I’ll do my own funding. Which brings up another question…
Can somebody transfer funds to another player’s account? Not sure how that’d work. Even if we sent X Ray the funds, getting them into our accounts might be a pain if even possible.
I’ll fund my account, hopefully this evening, and report back. I’ll just use a Visa card, I’m not familiar with any of the funds transfer resources they list. I only use PayPal, and that with some trepidation.
I’m tempted to go ahead and stick like $100 in there in case I want to play some real money games, $20 might not last long.
And these tournements we have. They are still play money? The $.60/week just covers “table rent” or something??
If you’re going to use your Visa card, I would get a Netteller acct. You put money in the Netteller acct. and then transfer it to Pokertropolis. Netteller is similar to PayPal. The reason I would use Netteller as a middleman is because your Visa card probably won’t work. Credit Card companies don’t allow you to put money into online gambling sites as a general rule. If you don’t want to use Netteller, don’t worry. I don’t have a problem with putting money in your accounts for you. I’m pretty sure Pokertroplolis allows members to give other players money. Yeah, we’ll be playing for real money. Ten cents per player plus fifty cents to the house. Duke, I’m going to go fund my acct. now and try to put $20 into your acct.
That’s cool, if it works I’ll just PayPal you the funds to cover the transfer.
I’ve never used Netteller.
If we are playing for real money, what are the stakes gonna be? $20 doesn’t seem like it’d last 6 months if you weren’t winning ever so often…

Nah, just ten cents a person. Its the minimum we can use and still play tournament style (private table).

I just transferred $20 to my account using firepay. Seemed to work all right. For the record, my Pokertropolis name is kyyrewyy. Either someone else took my name or I registered there in a drunken haze sometime and forgot the password. So I’m ready to go.
FWIW, X Ray is da man! I have fundage. I was all set to do it to it, but it’s already handled and I’m ready to go!
So I’m an idiot (what’s new…) I didn’t realize we were just buying into a “tournament” for a dime, then I guess it’ll be set up where we get like $1K of chips for a dime.
I’ve been lurking in on a in progress tourney, the play looks fine, but no stinky old lady avatars…
Are we actually doing this (Pokertropolis) on THIS Thursday? (Less than 48 hours?)

Might not hurt to start a little early and actually try a tourney, first, just to see if there are any unforeseen bugaboos in running one.
I just want to complain about this a little. Just a little, and it’s completely self-serving, so make of it what you will. Anyhoo, as I stated before, I have an earlier engagement on Thursday nights, so I’m never quite sure if I can make it on time. As you know, I usually do make it. So this leaves me in a bit of a bind. Tell a half truth and email xray and say that I’m in when there’s a chance I won’t be? Or miss out on playing because I didn’t want to commit and/or the game started early?
Again, I know most people don’t have this problem, but dammit I’m a reg’lar! 
Let me know what you think (if you think anything at all about me and my whiny-ass problems).
Well I’d hate to see a regular kicked to the curb, most of the regulars are there every time. Maybe the emails were directed at non-regulars (irregulars?) who might or might not show up and cause problems getting the room kicked off on time 
I’d be all for starting the game as soon as everybody who emailed was in the room but maybe have a no earlier than/no later than window for guys scrambling to get connected. I hate to make it any harder for X Ray, the guy’s a trooper for doing all he has, anyway.
And I have no idea why I’m rooting for Capn to get in the game, he’s one of the guys always gettin’ me chips. Oh, wait! That’s everybody else, too!
