Its a no go at Pokertropolis for tonight. I tried scheduling the tournament for tonight and I never received a confirmation e-mail. I just got off the phone with them and they told me I have to give 24-48 hrs notice. I guess its the old pokerroom tonight. One more thing, I won’t be able to make it tonight. I was supposed to pick up my nephew at the airport tonight but he was able to get an earlier flight, so I have to get him tonight. Someone else has to make sure they have everyone’s AIM name and start the chatroom. I’ll see you guys next week at Pokertropolis.

Again, all that was going through my head last night was…outlast Duke. Of course, what do I do but go all-in preflop with pocket Qs. Nanook smartly pays the nice price to try to take me out and does just that (hit a straight on the turn? Or did you hit trips? Doesn’t matter.).
However, even if it didn’t help me in the standings, I feel much better about my play last night. I was in for at least 40 minutes, which is a damn sight better than what I’ve been doing recently. In other words, I didn’t play balls-out loose for a change.
Can’t wait to try P’Tropolis.

It wasn’t pre flop, it was on the turn. I only called cuz I had an open ended and the price was really low(150 give or take I think). Pot odds were too good to pass up, and I got lucky to hit the straight on the river. Of course, it came back to bite me in the ass on the last hand when I went all in pre flop with Queens and Nesta caught a king on the river to take me out finally.
See…you see what Nyquil does! It messes with your brain but does a body good.
