Much as I’d also like to know who this bridge-dweller was, naming it in public would only give it the attention it doesn’t deserve.

Looks like we now have two boomerangs who capitalise Black and White (how are we ever going to tell them apart?).

I usually capitalize Black when I have occasion to speak of such things as the American Black subculture or the Black Baptist churches – it’s being used in an ethnic sense in such contexts, and it distinguishes the term from the color or the racial category to use the capital.

However, I am not a Serlin (though that line gives me a good idea for a Conrad Aiken parody!)
