Or he could be aware that was revealed to be bullshit.
Uh, the threats launched to Glover are not from 5 years ago, and neither the invitations to hound the scientists from the USA.
This is bullshit though:
Inventing a way to get the ones making the threats off the hook is really BS. I do seriously doubt that the Telegraph has looked at the recent threats launched to scientists like Dr. Phil Jones in the UK.
More BS, this reactions and threatening emails have been seen before, the bigger BS is in the say so of them looking for sympathy, the reality is that the denialist crowd had none already.
Also, when I see the Telegraph using well known cranks like Jo Nova, it makes me even more doubtful of the sources the Telegraph used on that article.

Maybe it would be best to start with making anyone who doesn’t believe the right way to have to wear a special badge to identify them.
A badge can be removed at any time. A bit more difficult with a tatoo. With a tatoo, we would know who we should eat first (making them “carbon-neutral” in the process) when shit hits the fan.
Oh I know, I was just going with the entire “let’s offend the fuck out groups of people by drawing on fucked up stupid evil shit from the past that actually happened”, or a real life Godwin’s if you will.
Of course if anyone got offended I could just say that didn’t have a sense of humor.

My impression has been that this is just your sorry effort in attempting to hide that you did miss the original intent of the piece in the OP.
I have seen also plenty of examples here and elsewhere to show that you have absolutely no sense of timing or a good sense of humor, your style is just to be a copy cat when it is clear that you will not get support for what you are trying to push behind your “humor”.
In this board I can see guys like **elucidator **showing what humor can do to devastate opponents. It is like watching a Robin Williams when he was on his prime, you are like Gallagher trying to tell others that he is a legend when most do not see it that way, you are as subtle as his mallet.

Really dumb and really angry: thanks for helping to make the internets amusing.
You are welcome. Nothing is as amusing as somebody who believes the “wrong way”, and is angry because somebody points out that they are a wrong believer in the one truth.
Oh sure some people want to make the “wrong people”, you know, those who don’t believe correctly, some people want to punish them, identify them, maybe isolate them, even hurt them somehow. And later, if possible, make damn sure 20 or 30 years later that everybody knows how wrong they were.
Because labeling somebody who is wrong, and making sure the whole world knows they were wrong, that is how you show you are right. Humiliation, maybe some bondage, some public mental abuse, it’s all part of showing everybody that you are right, and they are wrong.
And if you are really good at it, and can convince them you are right and they are wrong, they might even join you and go after the wrong believers, and then you win.

(Rush Limbaugh) “Making sure that every scientist at every university in this country that’s been involved in this is named, and fired, drawn and quartered, or whatever it is.”
Not to be outdone, climate denier Mark Morano called for public floggings of scientists.
I’m sorry, who is the side whom you are referring there? AFAIK, one side never bothers with apologies and continues to reheat discredited information, just recently Rush still told his audience that the scientists were pushing a hoax, even after investigations found the scientists did nothing wrong.

How stupid do you have to be to write something about the Government forcibly tattooing people? Seriously?
Well…

Maybe it would be best to start with making anyone who doesn’t believe the right way to have to wear a special badge to identify them.

I’m talking about any idiot who thinks that is the way to convert people and conduct yourself. Rush is a big fat idiot. I never listen to his spew, but from what you reported he said, well, you can see why. He’s a big fat idiot.
So are the people who “attack” scientists for doing science. Or try to discredit and obscure and feed us bullshit of any kind.

So, based on the evidence presented, you are finally willing to say that people like Nova are spewing bullshit?
I think that the whole bar-code tattoo is actually a good idea. There are far too many things that people need to be made aware of. I don’t know the math, but I imagine a 16-digit code (in hex, maybe) would give enough information to code for all sorts of warnings.
Climate denial
Foot flushing
Shoes on/off in the house
Using ‘alot’ improperly
Generally obnoxious
Particularly obnoxious
Extensively hypocritical
Oh my, the list would just go on and on… maybe a 64-bit number?
(By the way, as someone in touch with his inner Holocaust connections (not all relatives made it out; it’s lucky that I/family members exist; blah blah blah), is it me or is every shitfit over the suggestion that some people should have the word ‘stupid’ tattooed on their forehead a bit over the top? Not everything is a Holocaust reference, and not everything needs to be looked at with that lens. If you can’t get that straight, perhaps you should have a Tatooine rock thrown at your head.)

- shrug *
I dunno. Just because the Nazis tattooed their prisoners doesn’t mean I wouldn’t mind some people going around with “I’m an idiot” tattooed onto their foreheads. You know, as fair warning.
Hell, domesticated ferrets are tattooed (one dot for being neutered, one dot for being de-scented) on their ears for ID purposes. No one makes that out to be a Nazi thing, do they?
I have the tattoo gun…

Or he could be aware that was revealed to be bullshit.
And now it is clear that the [del]Torygraph[/del] Telegraph was the one with the bullshit as I suspected.
Several bloggers who dispute the reality of climate change have disputed the veracity of these threats. Opposition science spokeswoman Sophie Mirabella issued a statement claiming, ‘‘the apparently false allegation of death threats have diminished the individuals involved and reflect poorly on the scientific community’’.
False allegation? Who did she speak to? Apparently not the climate scientist who has been advised by state police to install a panic button in his office after receiving death threats. Or to the scientist who had his house vandalised (hence police advice to install video surveillance), or the researcher who received an email, with a marksman’s target superimposed on his photo. Sorry Sophie, none of this behaviour is acceptable.
The unpleasant reality is several universities across Australia have been forced to upgrade security to protect scientists. This has ranged from deleting phone numbers from websites and removing names from faculty notice boards, to installing multiple card-swipe entries, office doors protected by punch-in codes, and moving researchers to areas with secure lifts.
The Australian National University’s former Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Chubb confirmed the university moved several researchers to secure buildings after threats to their personal safety. Did these threats occur, as claimed by Herald Sun blogger Andrew Bolt ‘‘five or six years ago’’? No. An email from the ANU media office confirms, ‘‘the university took the decision last year’’.
Have the threats abated? Not according to the majority of scientists we contacted. Two weeks ago, when ANU economist Professor Ross Garnaut published the final report in his climate update, many scientists said their computers and mobile phones were flooded with spam emails and texts, many abusive or defamatory.
…
All political parties should condemn these attacks on our scientists. And to his credit - and despite his dissenting views on climate change - Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce did so, saying no one deserved such tactics. Dissent should not exclude reason or respect.
Richard Glover was really naive, but he has encountered what many scientists have faced before and continue to do so.
“and despite his dissenting views on climate change - Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce did so”
and despite his being a climate change denier, (which is just like a Holocaust denier and evolution denier), - Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce did so

My first thought was “Who the hell is Richard Glover?”
After clicking the link, learning who Richard Glover is, and reading the column, my next thought was “Why the hell should I give two shits what Richard Glover thinks?”
Also, it’s pretty obvious this isn’t a serious suggestion.

Well, I can not fix his stupidity, I really tried, I looked around in the text tools but just like those new printers that prevent someone from printing currency, the tools reported that they can not correct FX’s gullibility. I guess the apology button or that acknowledge doohickey are not available in his computer in his case
