Rick and Morty -- the new animated show from Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland

We already knew she wasn’t his Beth - his Beth got left behind on Cronenberg world.

That really wasn’t implied at all, it was merely lampshading the fact that they pulled a solution out of their ass and they wouldn’t do that all the time.

Really enjoyed a throw-away line at the end of The ABCs of Beth–I was already noticing how Rick didn’t have time to actually order and buy the pizzas when Rick pointed out that “By the way, that wasn’t time travel–there were just a couple of pizzas on the counter, I grabbed them.”

Also, every daughter is a doodoo from her father’s butt.

Correct.

If he hadn’t done it before, why was he so casual about burying himself? Morty is properly freaked out by the idea.

We have seen that Rick has interacted with many, many other Ricks and Mortys, and is very casual about killing himselves.

You are wondering why the guy who sent thousands of Ricks and Mortys to their deaths on the citadel had no problem burying himself?

Great season finale. Apparently Rick and Morty is happening at least a year in our past?

The Southpark Minecraft episode was exactly four years ago to the day, nice touch.

Why do you say that? Because the president’s black, or did I miss something more subtle?

Also, nice catch on the South Park date.

Kinda meh finale I think - the action was good but the family plotline seemed a bit rushed. Though apparently this season was originally going to be 14 and they cut it down to 10, so that may well be why.

My favs this season were the opener, the Citadel episode and Morty’s Mind-Blowers.

Could also be because the president hasn’t changed since season 2 in 2015. I wouldn’t read too much into it, they just wanted Keith David back.

I feel like this would have been a good season 2 episode. Season 3 put my expectations a bit higher; this felt a little weak compared to episodes like Ricklantis Mixup and Morty’s Mindblowers. Still solid stuff, though.

This. And Keith David killed it! (kill=good)

Definitely a weak ending, but only in relation to how strong the whole season has been. What a great run.

Looking forward to season 4. Not looking forward to waiting “a really long time.”

“The Kennedy Sex Tunnels?”
“You’ll forget you saw them, of course. Along with, in order of national embarrassment, the Truman Cocaine Lounge, the McKinley Hooker Dump, and the Lincoln Slave Coliseum. He didn’t free them all.

Twin child assassins? Fortunately, they can be disabled by candy…

I was somewhat ambivalent about Rick basically being (and being referred to as) a god in this episode. His power and defenses have grown to obnoxious levels.

Although I did like the bit about where he had negotiated the “Kind of obvious when you think about it” Accords, raising the President to 100% approval ratings, and the President responding “Because he’s an asshole!” in response.

Have they? He’s been pretty godlike through the entire series. That’s kind of the point - the story isn’t about Rick’s adventures. It’s about the shit that happens in his wake.

Indeed. Morty called him a god in the first episode of this season for example.
