Does anyone know if the story Ricky Gervais told during his recent stand-up tour about a son performing fellatio on his father through a glory hole in a public men’s restroom in England is true? He said it was reported in the local papers near his home town. If true, the story would have occurred 20-30 years ago. I can’t find anything to substantiate it.
Ive heard other versions of it before and always assumed it was an urban legend, but who knows.
It seems unlikely that such a thing would be reported in a British local paper, and certainly not that long ago - at least not in any kind of detail beyond ‘a man was arrested for indecent behaviour’.
It is an urban legend. There are many versions of the “incest committed through anonymous / drunken sex” story: brother-sister is the most common. Newspapers and TV news stations do occasionally report urban legends as true, because basic fact-checking will usually find unrelated people who believe the story, so there is no reason to think that he made any part of this up himself. ETA: the comment above makes a good point, though!
Sounds like a variant of the old businessman discovers the prostitute he hired is his daughter legend.
This one’s less plausible, though… A john and prostitute will typically meet face-to-face, but isn’t anonymity the whole point of a glory hole? Even if a son did service his father, how would anyone (the participants included) know?
Not as direct, but this is a 2005 story about a Swedish man who got busted for exposing himself to minors over the internet when his 13-year-old daughter recognised his home office. She thought she’d been chatting with a 17-year-old.

Usually the hole is large enough that if you really want to see the other person’s face, you can . . . either before, during or after.
And anonymity isn’t usually the main consideration; getting off is.
I just watched this tonight and Gervais is telling a story that someone he went to school with (who has a reputation for telling stupid sexual stories) told him. He says “apparently there was a bit of a scandal in his neighborhood. A guy a few doors from him got caught for lewd behavior…” then he goes straight into the story. He doesnt say he was arrested in the story or anything and it’s a third hand story from someone who gervais says tells funny sex stories.
