I’ve been fairly impressed with bibliophage since he became moderator; he’s been generally kicking ass and taking names.
Today, however, I have to question his action in closing a riddle thread in CS, suggesting that the proper place was GQ. Huh?

Is it just a myth? Or was it only once upon a time, before bibliophage started leading us down the slippery slope to Gomorrah? In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if tc were a sock puppet for bibliophage. He’s just that clever; it’s the old sucker punch. If tc’s not a sock puppet, I shudder at the thought…biblio is just one part of a global terror network aimed at bringing the SDMB to its knees. Starting with GQ.
Um, where, exactly? I don’t see you appearing in either of those threads, let alone with a link deleted. Are you accusing him of deleting an entire post of yours in one of the threads?
And I’m really, really hoping this is meant to be a joke:
If you suspect one of the moderators of using a sock puppet, the correct course of action is to e-mail the administration.
By going outside his usual forum to close a cross-posted thread in another forum, he’s basically giving his blessing to the subject in the forum he moderates.
I’ve seen lots of half-hearted Pit topics where it just didn’t seem like the right forum until someone was accused of Nazism. Since this fell into that category, I figured I’d establish bibliophage as an evildoer right off the bat, and get it out of the way. And when my initial post didn’t include the appropiate link, who better to blame?
First, we will always close cross-posted threads. And of course, whoever finds it first closes it regardless of forum.
Second, whilst we do frown on wordplay/riddles/etc. in GQ, the kind we really hate is where the questioner knows the answer and is just “testing” our readership. That’s what I initially thought about the thread in question, and I almost closed it for that reason.
Good thing I didn’t; it turns out that the OP was asking in order to learn the answer (For his own nefarious purposes Bwahahahahaha!). When the OP is seeking an answer which s/he does not know, as opposed to playing a game him/herself, we generally leave it open. It’s not necessarily our favorite kind of thread, but hey, ignorance is getting eradicated, and GQ is as good a place for it as anywhere.
Third, tc is not a sock for bibliophage, of course. He is a agent of the government sent in to try to interfere with bib and Dr. Matrix’s good and just plan to wrest GQ from the ZOG. But we’re onto him, and he will be dealt with accordingly.
