Oh, now what? No matter which storyteller or difficulty setting I choose, I’m getting spammed with Royal Ascent quests!

I hope disabling Royal Ascent via Cherry Picker will help.
I remembered Uncle Boris’ Used Furniture has a mission board. One of which has been built and told we would like to host some guests.
Rather than Hospitaility guests, we got a group of royals for 14 days. This leader is satisfied with the bedroom I had been trying to build for the previous one; there are also two children. Guess I need to put school furniture in one of the empty rooms.
Yep: there is a visiting kid in the brand new classroom. My initial pawn is teaching him a shooting lesson.
A male frost-drake has been tamed! A female one is still out there.
I think this colony is stuck on guests now. First the royals, then some pawns being chased by mechanoids, now the crystal ball says to expect a third group in a few days. And the first two will still be be around after they arrive.
Guess I’ll put this colony on hold and start a second.
Surely the play is to feed all your guests to the mechs.

But, seriously, we’re too well defended by turrets, as long as the power grid stays up. I think those mechs got wiped out already.
This genetically-engineered race of dragonoid hybrids could make for an interesting colony. Immune to toxins and pollution, set them up in (or near) scarlands and see what happens to their visitors…
Ever look at a xenotype and wonder what it does?
This really helps to keep Furniture from getting too unwieldly but I see it won’t be continued past 1.6. Probably won’t really matter since it’s just an architect category.
Decided to wait on a scarlands colony until the author adds genetically-engineered males.
Rocketman has been forked!
Just another inaccurate prediction; a trading caravan showed up instead.
I’m not sure but I think Missile Girl is making my game even more unstable. Crashed twice since enabling.
Some tiny tweaks, most notably automatically inverting schedules for Night Owls.
No crashing nor freezing since disabling Missile Girl. Went back quite a few saves to ensure safe removal, though, so now the only guest group is those royals.

One of my pawns just decided to call his weapon “D-21-DD’s Mate”. D-21-DD is an Assembly Drone.
Come to think of it, that drone could have made the weapon.
If it can, it has to be constructed on site and left there. They’re not a valid item for loading, at least not on the shuttle we have.
They do load shuttles, all right.
First time out with the shuttle:
Attempted to land at a hideout but the map refused to load, which caused the shuttle and its occupants to disappear.
Attempted to reload the last save, which crashed. Went back another save and landed safely.
Took out the bandits, claimed two solar generators near the shuttle and built an automatic beam emitter. The required materials were already present on the map.
A bunch of stuff was way out in deep water so inaccessible by the pawns. Zoned a large stockpile by the shuttle and the beam emitter started moving all the good stuff there before loading onto the shuttle.
Noticed a broken geothermal generator while searching around some closed rooms. Claimed the generator and moved it to a geyser by one of those solar generators; conduits to connect the generators were already in place.
Zoned the geothermal generator as “home” so it could be repaired, then the beam emitter continued working after dark.
The two pawns who took the shuttle to the hideout are the Nivarians who hooked up earlier. They’ve since married – again. Seems like every time they have their ceremony, something goes wrong with the game and they go back via reload to being engaged.
