Where can I get just ONE ringtone??? I don’t want to sign up for a club. I can’t seem to find any ringtone sites where you can just purchase one.
What type of phone do you have? Who is your service provider? There are places where you can make your own ringtone for free from MP3 or other audio files you already have depending on what model your phone is and don’t have to pay anyone anything.
Enjoy,
Steven
My cell phone company has ringtones available for download on their website. You pay for the ringtone, the airtime used to download it, and a certain amount per Kb of data.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have the Inspector Gadget theme for me. Bastards.
Verizon will let you buy one ringtone at a time; for $2.99 each!
If you have a windows mobile you can use any mp3, wav or midi file you like. You can rip your own from cd or you’ll find lots of midi files on the web.
One of the plus sides of having a mobile that needs to be re-booted on a regular basis.
Speaking of Verizon, you can also email an mp3 or midi file to your phone for $0.25, or nothing if you have a data plan, and save it as a ringtone. Just attach it to an email addressed to:
yourtendigitcellnumber@vzwpix.com
I think they can be 35 seconds maximum (not sure on that)
My provider is Dobson Cellular 1, In Alaska. My phone is a Nokia 3220. I did find two places that had ringtones that one could purchase one at a time, unfortunately, 1 said it would send it then it never got to my phone, the other one got all the way to the send part and then stated it couldn’t send it to my phone. One I paid for and never got (only 2 bucks, but still), the other one at least stopped the transaction before I was charged.
I’ll probably end up doing one of those stupid clubs and then cancelling after downloading the 10 free ringtones or whatever. I feel bad, but who is going to need $9.95 worth of ringtones each and every month? (IIRC the monthly fee allowed unlimited d/loads).
I just want to find one or two semi uncommon, but not too obnoxious songs.
