Steven was never a singer, more of a screamer. Volume over quality. Maybe Aerosmith can hire Geddy Lee.
I’ll agree to disagree. Perry has a great range, and his voice is an awesome instrument.
I also like his harmonica playing, as in Pink, one of my favorite songs (since it was newer, but had the cheekiness of earlier work like Big Ten Inch Record).

Tyler and Joe Perry were the toxic twins. If you had told them in ‘78 that they’d survive, let
alone play music, into the 2020s, they’d probably think you were crazy.
I once met a sound guy who had worked with lots of big names. He said he’d worked with Aerosmith before and after they got clean.
“What was the difference?” I asked.
“You could talk to Tyler once he was sober.”
My brother was a roadie/stage manager for Aerosmith on a small tour with Cheap Trick. He told me at the time (probably 10 years ago) that Tyler kept himself separate from the others. When they were playing on stage, they worked together well, but offstage they basically didn’t speak.
