It was just boadcast that Don Davis has died of a massive heart attack. I didn’t know him as anything except General Hammond, but apparently he was on Twin Peaks and even worked with Richard Dean Anderson on MacGuyver. He was the best General they ever had on the show and I am sad that he will no longer be available to fill the role for any future Startgate projects.
Yes, it is quite sad and unexpected.
