Got a news flash for you, Mr. Spock: Emotion always effects our thoughts and behavior. It’s part of what makes us human. Things like fear, love, hate, and compassion are as necessary for survival as logic and problem-solving. Or else those traits wouldn’t be a part of our makeup.

I started reading this thread thinking that all I would need to say would be to agree with the near-unanimous majority, that Acidkid was being an insensitive fucking ass-wipe and owes an apology.
Yet as Burner began jumping in and proving himself more than capable of acting like a asshole, too, I realized that his comments also deserved a response. But what kind of response? Oh, yes, I know: Do Not Feed the T[ired, selfish, puerile nasty person who is hanging out under the bridge trying to bait everyone into rabid responses while hiding behind a pretense of indifference].
I like to think of it as feeding the trolls so forcefully that they choke! 
suicide is always a viable option. that’s true. not everyone has conceptualized death is exactly the same way. that comment may not have made a huge contribution to the discussion of suicide, but if that is what we are debating than it doesn’t absolutely have to be offensive. in fact, it presents a point of view that seems to be contrary to the sentiments of most of the posters here… that fact alone makes it more relevant in my mind.
A person with a chemical imbalance who commits suicide is the same as someone dying of any other disease. You may not be able to understand that, but it is true.
