Road trip, 6 hours, you get 2 food items and 1 beverage

Water and a couple of peanut protein bars (which my husband will probably eat if he’s with me).

I feel it necessary to point out that nowhere in the OP did I mention anything about being hungry or thirsty.
mmm

Hamel’s buffalo jerky, a large bottle of water and Cherry Twizzlers.

In that case I’ll bring (if you are buying!) a 22 oz. ribeye, a 2 lb baked potato and a bottle of 2000 Pétrus.

Honey roasted peanuts, a banana and apple juice. That’s my go to road trip snack.

Far out man! (high5)

Sure that’s about my normal consumption rate even if I’m sitting at my deck in air conditioning. When I’m out working in the yard or hiking can drink a gallon an hour no problem. Admittedly, I only do that while I’m at work so it works out to 2-3 gallons per day in a normal office day. Also when I’m driving a lot of those liters are diuretics (energy drinks) so it isn’t really that much hydration.

With the radio playing some forgotten song?

Given I already have seven trips that long, or longer this year, I’d say the usual:
[ul]
[li]Parmesan Goldfish[/li][li]Cherry Twizzler Nibs[/li][li]Diet Coke[/li][/ul]

Is it dark out?

Well, each one is roughly the size of your eyeball, the chocolate is really thick and a tad sweeter than usual milk choco. Sadly, you only get 10-12 per bag, but you can get 3 bags for $5. It’s a bit of an expensive indulgence, but sucking the choco off the malted part is a rush. Then, you can either crunch the malted part, or let it dissolve in the roof of your mouth.

Er, gotta go!

That was my first thought too. I’ll just have a coffee, thanks.

A case of Spaten, a couple bratwurst in French rolls and a giant pretzel.

almonds, very dark chocolate, unsweetened green iced tea

Am I driving in this scenario? How all many people are in the car? I can’t make any decisions without this information.

A bag of buffalo wing Combos
A bag of almonds
A bottle of Coke Cherry Zero

Dont fight the hypothetical, and of course the idea is not to stave off starvation, but to fight boredom.

And going six hours without even having a sip?:dubious: What are you, a camel?

This is not a hypothetical, I start every road trip with a stop at the local cafe for a huge coffee (it’s named Smokejumper, so you know it’s dark and smokey). And an equally huge Magic Cowboy Cookie.

That’s all I need:
Caffeine, fat and sugar.
Besides a good audiobook and a full tank of gas, of course.

Water, coffee, cigarettes, choclate fudge pop tarts and a bag of almonds.

Bottle of Vitamin Water Zero, orange flavored, bag of Rainier cherries and some soft caramels.

A big tub of Anderson peanut butter pretzels and a 20 oz Diet Coke. Don’t need no secondary snack
