A few people who seem to be taking it upon themselves to defend anyone from Team Blue, including one who just refuses to admit that RFKJ is an anti-vaxxer at all because it magically became untrue when it was covered by Fox News.
JFK was a serial sexual abuser and drug addict. He endangered the nation by making important decisions, such as nearly starting a nuclear war over Cuba, while zonked out of his mind on opiates. He forced at least one woman to have public group sex against her will, and we all know there is no such thing as a person who has raped once.
Ted Kennedy cruelly murdered a woman. He drove drunk into a pond then, fearful of being caught, left the still-alive victim to suffocate as the air slowly ran out in the car over the course of hours. I gave him a video of the man himself talking on the Daily Show. Anyone who knows anything about anti-vax shitheads knew about RFKJ’s prominent role years ago, though. It’s been covered literally everywhere. Not that you care; this is just an intellectually dishonest smokescreen designed to avoid addressing the fact that a member of the first family of Democrats advocates murdering children.
Let’s just admit that, after seven years of power, Democrats are as intellectually barren as Republicans were at the height of the Bush years. There is no answer to anything besides “racist” or “Fox News.” If John Kerry ate a puppy on TV tomorrow, the response would be “anyone who has a problem with this is agreeing with Fox News, therefore puppy-eating is good” with a dose of “you wouldn’t care about this if he worked for a WHITE president” thrown in for good measure.

As for Fox, its much easier to just go with a trustworthy source on the first hand. Why not cite something from Free Republic? I’m sure someone at one point or another posted something truthful, so to you apparent the whole site is as trustworthy as the Koran
And I really don’t care about RFK Jr. I don’t follow the Kennedy’s, I didn’t even know there was another one. What I do know is that the Kennedy name is connected to Democratic political dynasties and conservatives would love to see it trashed to indirectly attack Democrats. That’s what I got from your post and that’s why I didn’t bother to react to your partisan drivel

Michelle Bachman, Phyllis Schlafly and Chris Christie are anti-vax morons on the right. Robert Kennedy, The Huffington Post and dem strongholds like San Francisco have a huge strain of anti-vax nuttery.

This is a not a partisan issue. It’s a children’s health issue. Only very minor aspects of this issue (how to pay for vaccines, what kind of laws can be passed to reduce refusals) are political in any way.
RFK Jr. is an idiot. So is Rand Paul. So are all anti-vaxers. The only real issue is how to reduce their numbers and influence. I hate it when people try to turn this into something partisan when it is one of the very few issues on the fucking planet that is not debatable, not prone to opinion and just sheer science.
Well, yes, it’s objectively true that vaccines work, they don’t cause autism, and parents have a moral obligation to prioritize the health of their children above their personal irrational hangups. But that doesn’t mean the origins of antivax conspiracy aren’t political – all conspiracy theories are political.
It’s also true that there are both left and right wing antivaxxers, and that a major faction of antivaxxers, the Alex Jones tinfoilers, are so bizarre as to defy categorization in the ordinary American political spectrum.
But, recognizing the full history of the antivax idiocy will have to include an assessment of the trial lawyers who conspired with Andrew Wakefield to create a fradulent study, and the anti-tort reform forces who made this profitable and possible. It will also have to include the fact that the Kennedy name and RFKJ’s prominent place in the antivax movement, where he has flogged “vaccines=autism” and called for legal action against vaccine manufacturers, have been a fixture for over a decade and have had a much greater role than Rand Paul, a person no one had heard of before 2010, saying “vaccines should be voluntary” one time.
I don’t believe that vaccines should be voluntary. I believe any parent who refuses to vaccinate should go to prison and have his or her children taken away. But the fact is that Rand Paul emphasized that he and his children are vaccinated and vaccines work and do not cause autism, after saying one dumb thing that influenced nobody. Kennedy has told people not to vaccinate based on conspiracy theories about autism for ten years, to the much larger platform and following that the Kennedy name brings. He’s a criminal and is responsible for the deaths of countless children, and denying this because Fox News exists is just showing everyone how blind some Democrats are to what really matters.
