Rolling Stone's cancel tour due to Mick's bad health

I thought that the undead didn’t have any biological processes.

Nah, I don’t think it’s particularly odd. He has a health issue, and, despite the fact that there’s significant interest among fans as to “what’s wrong?”, it’s a private matter.

The owners of the business where I work are all huge Stones fans and are all in the same boat as you, although one of them mentioned purchasing insurance on their plane tickets.

That’s Keith Richards you’re thinking of.

My daughter is a stagehand and met Paul McCartney. She nearly swooned! (she is 30). She said he looked like a little old soccer mom, lol.

Oddly, she and her friends are GREAT fans of Yoko Ono. Her number one request for Christmas this last year was a CD of Yoko’s latest.

If you had ever told me the chances of some youngish people today being fans of the now 80-something woman who ‘broke up the Beatles’, (and the fact Yoko is still alive and kicking) I would have thought you were stark raving mad.

My brother and I were just talking about who would be the first to go, Mick or Keith. Also about Bob Dylan, Pete and Roger, Neil Young, Plant and Page, Graham Parker, Van the Man, Lucinda William, Steve Earle. So many of our rock and roll heroes are my Dad’s age.

Could be Mick’s heart. News mentioned he may need unspecified surgery.

Maybe angioplasty? That would fit with starting the tour in a month. Most people are back at work after a few weeks.

that’s what someone said elsewhere it was his heart but it was along the “he needs to detox from too much Viagra” line

Keith Richards has seven picks in the SDMB Death Pool, Jagger has only two. I would say he is safe.

Me too! Several times :stuck_out_tongue:

Feel better soon, Mick.

Time was on his side - but he was in his early 20s when that song was released.

Hoepfully it’ll be awhile before we see a line of cars and they are painted black.

When I retire, it’ll be because if I’m judging my job against other things I could do to make a living, I really like my job, the fact is there are many, many other things I’d rather be doing if money were no object.

Maybe touring and playing his music before big crowds is what Mick really likes doing.

Poor Lucinda, fading one letter at a time.

Take them all, God. Leave Mick here.

To paraphrase The Who, hope I die before I get really really really *really *old.

It sounds like the injury is relatively mild.

Some sources are reporting a heart valve replacement. Should be confirmed or denied pretty soon.

Saw the lads in Edinburgh last year. They may be old but they can still rock.

Rolling Stone has confirmed that Jagger will undergo valve replacement surgery this week in New York City.

That’s tough surgery. Arnold Schwarzenegger had two heart valve replacements
