Rolling Stone's cancel tour due to Mick's bad health

Link

Can you imagine a Stones concert without Mick Jagger prancing all over the stage? Can you imagine a 75 year old with a recent heart valve replacement doing that? I can’t. I merely had a stent implant three years ago, and I’m damned careful to not stress my heart too much and keep a healthy pulse.

I guess Mick’s shirtless days are over. Unless he can make that big scar down his chest, RockNRoll.

Mick has done an impressive job staying in shape this long.

Nah, I think Mick stopped going shirtless at least 35 years ago. The only one who still does it is Iggy, and he looks like Keith’s grandma nowadays.

I was able to get a refund from Ticketmaster & the hotel. Not having much luck with United Airlines though. Never thought to buy insurance, but that would have been useful.

My gf is going to NOLA for a week with some friends, and they plan on spending one day at JazzFest. They had to choose between the day the Stones were performing and another day. My gf suggested (and they all agreed) to skip the Stones’ crowd. Looks like they made the right choice.

Definitely not me. Especially since since so many OD’ed or died in transit.

Frankly, it is a bit ridiculous to be singing that you can’t get no satisfaction when you are seriously geriatric, and it’s not just Mick. Remember Pete Townsend’s anthem; “I hope I die before I get old?” Yeah, well what happened, Pete? Second thoughts?

Hell, even Mick didn’t believe it back then

Wait, it wasn’t called the “Cancel Tour”? After all the thread title was “Rolling Stone’s cancel tour”, and I really did misread it for a second due to the apostrophe.

Since when do magazines have tours?

Mick had his valve replacement surgery. They used the less invasive method through an artery. It’s being reported as a success and Mick is doing well.

Seeing Mick back, strutting on stage will be even more special this year.
