Didn’t he say that he had put that whole Disney thing behind him?
He did. That means it’s up to his minions to harass & torture Disney; he can’t be bothered. He’s moved above and beyond such trivialities. But he did leave explicit orders that they be tortured as much and as often as the state can figure out how to do it.
There are a lot of adjectives I’d use to describe Trump supporters, but “listless” is definitely not one of them.
Well, they declined to drop the lawsuit against him so I’m sure that changed things in his evil pea brain.
If I were Disney, I’d respond by cutting all food prices in half, and make it clear that it was in direct response to this shitbaggery. Cuts their whole tax revenue from food in half, and will be very popular among the customers, I’m sure. Disney can afford it, methinks. We’ll see who blinks first.
Disney’s desire to screw over DeSantis is second only to their desire to squeeze money out of guests, so as far as that is concerned what’s good for Disney is good for Florida (a fact DeSantis seems to have forgotten). It’s fun to think of ways to screw DeSantis, though. For instance: How about a new Disneyland ticket that as a fun bonus also lets you in to Disney World? Obviously Florida can’t collect sales tax on tickets to a California theme park. Glancing at Florida tax law it seems like maybe guests using such a ticket in Florida might owe a Use Tax, but good luck collecting on that. Oh, and did I mention these tickets are $10 cheaper than the normal Disney World tickets?
DeSantis is “taking time away” from campaigning to supposedly concentrate on Florida hurricane relief.
This probably means he’ll try to wrap himself in the aura of State Savior (while blasting the Biden administration for any real or imagined faults in the federal response).
Hopefully those affected by the hurricane will benefit from all the posturing.
Maybe he is heading to Cancun?
“Everyone knows the best thing for me to do is get out of the way and let Biden take the fall…I mean the credit!”
Biden apparently foresees trouble, as noted on ABC News:
"The president said he thinks Florida governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis “trusts my judgment and my desire to help, and I trust him to be able to suggest that this is not about politics. It’s about taking care of the people of the state.”
DeSantis told reporters he agreed it wasn’t about politics.
Whether he can refrain from the temptation to capitalize politically…well, we’ll see.
The DeSantis campaign is running scared…from a 15-year-old.
It’s paywalled, but Jezebel has the article, too.
The question was: “Do you believe that Trump violated the peaceful transfer of power, a key principle of American democracy that we must uphold?”
No wonder DeFuhrer was triggered - he’s never seen democracy as being that important to the process.
Karen Desantis gets punked by a teenager. Priceless.
The best part is, the teenager wasn’t even trying to punk him. The original question was really a softball, the correct answer would have been a slam-dunk for any US politician in the Before Times. DeSantis punked himself by not giving the easy, obviously correct answer.
And then, in the later episodes, the kid was just trying to get close enough to DeSantis to apologize for having accidentally made him look bad on video. DeSantis punked himself again by having his team rough the kid up, instead of getting new video of them shaking hands like normal people.
A recurring issue with DeSantis. Just do everything by Zoom, Ron. Then you won’t have these troubles and can just blame it on Tech issues.
Better yet by written press release. I bet he’s still terminally awkward on Zoom.
Imagine if the screen froze while he was doing one of those weird laughs.
Every frame of every vid of every celeb or pol can be examined then extracted individually to create an attack meme of them looking weird or foolish or whatever.
But yeah, with DeSantis it’s more like looking for some hay in a haystack; no need to go needle hunting to find what you want.
