Ron DeSantis - The Pit Edition

I always thought of him as a little man. I never thought about the boat.

I’m surprised he even found the CLT.

And for some reason St. Olaf, my brother’s alama mater, and an otherwise quite reputable school. What were they thinking?

Likewise, I looked at the list of “partner colleges” in my state, Indiana. All of them are religious colleges–except for DePauw University, which is for the most part a well-regarded liberal arts school.

Another step in Florida slowing beginning to lose the ability to support students who apply out of state:

Considering the “useful skills” version of history to be taught and other ‘positive’ historical requirements, I suspect AP History will be the next to fall. So shortly, students applying to out of state schools will be short at least 2 college credits they could of otherwise qualified for.

So much winning.

“I love the uneducated “

Worth a thousand words;

I think they already have figured him out.

Evidence is piling up that DeSantis just doesn’t know how to act around humans.

Heh. Comment on that article: “Michael Hiltzik, writing in today’s LA Times, said that DeSatan has all the charisma of linoleum.”

I read that list, and except for the pudding with his hand thing (in public) , I have been guilty of all of those things in some way or other.

I can sympathize with his affliction - he’s just not comfortable connecting with people. Just like me.

Of course no one sane ever suggested I run for office.

Exactly. If someone bombs in a singing competition, I can empathize because I don’t exactly sound like Freddy Mercury, but then I didn’t get on a stage and demonstrate my lack of talent.

Good news. They’ve abandoned the stupid refusal to teach AP Psycology. I’m sure DeSantis’s fans are irate and they’ll pick some other fight.

Such as educating students about the “Victims of Communism” by signing a bill that will designate a Day in public schools to learn all about it. Those youths in their Che Guevara shirts!

I’m in favor of teaching history, but this seems an odd choice.

Or the quote

A former congressional staffer told Vanity Fair , “I once had to drive him to the airport. We got stuck in traffic for an hour, and he didn’t say a word.” They added, “I describe him as having the personality of a piece of paper.”

Are they going to cover all the useful skills dissidents learned while in the gulag?

Great Scott! DeSantis has gone woke!

Little Ronnie WokeSantis.

Now there’s a trimply insult that’ll stick!

I still think “Meatball Ron” is his best work.

His fall from grace must be soul-crushing. Good.

Linoleum is so old fashioned. Nobody under age 40 has ever seen any. And “vinyl flooring” isn’t punchy enough.

“Has all the charisma of a snail” might be better. Or maybe “… wet French fries”. It’s long but the image is pungent.
